It fits both my portable hard drive (Seagate Expansion 1TB) and its USB cable. It is rugged enough that I can stash it anywhere in my backpack without worry.

This is a good case for any small extrenal hard drive. I bought this to protect my Toshiba Canvio. Its a perfect fit. The case is hard so I dont have to worry about anything crushing it. The zipper is rubberized (which isnt important, but I like the look and feel). Theres a mesh pocket on the left side and an elastic strap on the right side

Why does Amazon call this a carrying case if there is no way to carry it? There isnt any outside strap or buckle. THIS BEING SAID, if you are looking for a case that **carries** a Passport, this does the job. Dont expect much protection if it drops, but hey, it is under $5 and it carries the Passport and the cable. I would gladly pay $6 if they sewed on a strap of some kind.

Initially a bit tight on the corners with the UGREEN 2.5 Hard Drive Enclosure but I know it will break in with a few uses. Good deal, very reasonable price, well made.

For the prices of this, it does a good job. Material is solid and does provide quality protection for a drive.
