    Greater than one week

This has survived many long days of both teaching full-time and going to school at the same time, so in my experience, this is a durable product. Given that I only use physical copies of textbooks at work, the capacity is more than acceptable; I can fit two textbooks, extra handouts, and all of my current student papers in this bag. Even with all of that in the bag, I have room to spare for my tablet (which contains my own textbooks for school) and a variety of personal items to help me survive long days away from the house in comfort. One nice feature of the bag is the telescoping handle by which you pull it. Besides the obvious convenience of the handle only taking up space when you need it, this kind of handle allows me to slip my lunch bag securely over that handle, just as I could with a rolling suitcase. Given that I bring lunch, dinner, and snacks with me when I leave the house, being able to conveniently secure a large lunch bag right on my briefcase is pretty important to me. If youre having trouble picturing how this works, take a look at the pictures of the eBags Crew Cooler II here: https://www.amazon.com/eBags-Crew-Cooler-II/dp/B004C140ZO Besides using this during the week for work and school, I also use it for a laptop bag as needed for weekend meetings, and the padded compartment that secures my laptop is still in good condition after quite some time of using it for a heavy textbook instead.

Original Review - Do not buy this if you know youre going to wheeling around a lot of weight. I bought it for school because my books are so heavy my backpack was killing my back. Ive only had a short time and the wheels are buckling and there center between the wheels drags the ground. Not saying its not worth the price as it was fairly cheap, but it wont hold up under any real weight. New Review - Im posting a quick update. Ive now had this back for several months and have decided to up my rating by two stars. This is not a bag that will last you forever, BUT it made it through two semesters and lived to tell the tale. I carry a TON of heavy science books. Most days this bag is so heavy I can barely pick it up. The wheels are bending in, but they have not stopped rolling. The back is all scratched up where it drags when I jump off a step or something, but it has not torn through. While the overall quality of this bag is not great, if you dont need the bag for a long time (I only needed it to last me these two semesters), then this is a great option because its cheap. I now HIGHLY RECOMMEND this bag to anyone who only needs it for school or a short time otherwise. Definitely not a bag for work or something where youll need one to last you several years.

Nice buy but: The wheels should be larger and sturdy to avoid bend to the back, for more durability and longer usage life.

This case is economically priced and delivers as expected and advertised. Unfortunately, there is one feature that is missing which makes a world of difference when traveling with other luggage pieces. I didnt think of this missing feature until I left the door with my 28 luggage and this rolling laptop case. After locking my door as I left for the airport, I had the 28 in my left hand and this laptop case in my right. As I began to roll them it became difficult to roll them simultaneously and in a straight line. Therefore I retracted the rolling handle of the laptop case and placed it on top of my luggage only to find that there is no way to secure it on top of the luggage. Other laptop rolling cases may have an opening in the back of the outer cover to place a larger luggage pieces handle through so that it is secured - stacked on top of each other and rolled with one hand. This laptop case doesnt have it, resulting in the need to PUSH the 28 luggage with this case balanced on top as opposed to tilting the luggage 45 degrees and pulling it in tow. As one would expect, it made it slower and less maneuverable to move with the 2 pieces, especially when crossing the street where there isnt a ramp. If this rolling laptop case had the opening in the back, it would be a 5 star product. As a consolation, the material is a more fabric like ballistic nylon, seemed durable, not too heavy of a bag, and rolled just fine. The wheels were of the right size...not too small and was able to take beating on my trip to Japan which required a bit of walking with the luggage. If you plan on taking this with other luggage on a trip, you may want to find one with an opening in the back.

I carry a laptop, accessories and files back and forth to work and my traditional over the shoulder laptop bag was giving me a backache. I decided to go full on dork and give in to the rolling laptop case. First things first, my back is grateful for this bag. So are my shoulders. It has a nice front section for my pens, badges, binder clips and small accessories. The first zippered compartment has velcro so I can strap in my laptop. There is a padded divider to keep my laptop safe. The back part of the compartment holds a good number of files and notebooks. My only complaint is that the front and back arent completely separate so sometimes a folder or notebook will slip and slide under the divider. Its not a big deal but slightly annoying sometimes. The rear compartment is where I keep my softphone headset, adapter, mouse and other accessories. This is my least favorite part of the bag. The handle is separated from the compartment by a thin layer of plastic. Sometimes I worry if one of my peripherals might get damaged by hitting it. Nothing has happened so far but a little bit of padding would have given me greater peace of mind. The handle is good. Its not the sturdiest handle Ive ever come across but its been through a couple of rough days and made it. I wish that the handle retracted down into the case a bit more. When I zipper the back slot when the handle is all the way down, I have to struggle a bit to get it closed all the way. This is a product that truly lives up to its name - Basic. Its functional and gets the job done with no extra bells and whistles.

Only complaint is the retractable top handle isn’t very sturdy. At this point only used 4 times for work and hoping it holds up for my one day a week trip into the office.

This bag rolls really smooth very good size for paperwork and a laptop. The handle worried me in the beginning being so loose as I wheel it around but I get it. If the handle was too stiff it would break faster. So this bag works well for me every day.

First I ordered Amazon Basics rolling laptop case and I returned it because of its shape and small size. This one has a very nice shape and a 15 laptop fits very nice. You can fit a larger laptop as well. The case rolls very nice and you can fit a lot of stuff in it. There are a couple of things I dont like about it but that doesnt affect the overall score of 5 stars. I wish there was a better way to secure the laptop so that nobody could easily take it from the bag. Also, I wish that zipper pulls had holes in them so you can put a lock. That way when you sleep on the plane nobody can go through your stuff. I used to have a laptop bag that I carried on shoulder and it was getting heavy when I load it with laptop, cell phones, chargers, and other equipment. This is much better. I am very happy with this case.

I like everything about this product except you cannot wheel it if it is raining at all. The wheels kick up the water and valuable things (like your laptop) get wet. I even sprayed the outside with water proofing spray. I own this product because I cannot carry a backpack due to an injury, and it is not feasible for me to avoid using a bag just because its raining.
