AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core, 24-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

I hate AM4 socket because you can easily bent the pin. The title state that they are not created equal and here is the reason. When it is onsale, I bought one and MSI B550 motherboard. After many try and error, it took me 2 days to figure out the it is not working with dual channel memory but it will work as a single channel memory. I try multiple RAM brand ranging from 3200Mhz to 3600Mhz. Since it is not the memory, I thought it was the motherboard. So I bought another B550 motherboard from Asrock and it works great with dual channel memory on the Asrock motherboard. I was about to return the MSI motherboard and saw Amazon have this CPU onsale again so I decided to buy another one and use it with the MSI motherboard. To my surprise, the new CPU works great on dual channel memory on the MSI motherboard.

5900x. AMD. If you know, you know.

Easy to install, loaded up no problem. My last PC was a quad-core i5 so Im amazed by the speed. Handles everything I throw at it.

Pros:

As a full time student nearing my BA in Video Game Art & Development, this thing is insane. I upgraded from a ryzen 7 2700 that was struggling with almost everything. 3d modeling and rendering is so smooth now. Video editing and encoding for YT on the side is literally laughable. I was laughing all day when I finally built my new rig. I didnt know it would be this big of a quality of life difference.

Upgraded from a decade old Intel i7-2600K. This thing is like 8 times as powerful, draws almost the same wattage, and it didn’t break the bank. Legit a great item for anyone looking for a high power upgrade.

This is a beast of a cpu. Coming from an i7860 rig i had for over a decade this is amazing. This is also my first build using AMD which i am impressed, considering their bad run with bulldozer.

Very fast and can handle anything I throw at it
