AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core, 24-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

my workload (audio production) was overwhelming the ryzen 2600 I had previously. Now, the 5900x easily handles the same projects that used to fail and crash. Really a life saver. I will say, it took me several frustrating hours to realise that the BIOS must be updated (using the old CPU) if youre using an older motherboard. Also, the 5900x runs hotter, occasionally surpassing 90 degrees celsius with my AMD wraith stealth cooler, therefore I bought an aftermarket cooler (scythe fuma 2). Im very happy about this CPU.

Gain de perfs dans tous les jeux notamment avec le SAM activé dans le bios. Javais un ryzen 5 3600x avant le gain est net et lisse même mieux les graphiques de ma radeon 6900xt. En plus de ça il y a une nette amélioration en transferts de fichiers. Les compressions sont plus rapides (7zip, winrar..) même chose avec les traitements vidéos. Here is my take if you are only gaming get something cheaper (most of the people looking this i suspect) . This is too expensive for what you get and that application. it also is using quite a lot of power and needs a good cooler which you also need to buy. For that cooler you should adjust the cpu to 600 total costs (at the time of this). Also, you need to go into bios with amd to get all the perf people talk about. otherwise its stuck around 4.2 which by the way voids the warranty. This is an odd policy.

Great CPU for the money for work and play. 12 core performance to demolish computation heavy workload. While blazing single core speed is excellent for play.

The processor is fantastic with great thermals and boost clocks. Just make sure you stress test it enough if overclocking.

Upgraded from a locked i7 4790 to this lol

Impossible de démarrer le nouveau PC avec ce Ryzen 5900X. Jai aussi essayé avec un Ryzen 5800X, même chose : pas daffichage, pas de démarrage. La LED CPU sallume en rouge (voir photo). Essayé avec 3 cartes mères dont 2 identiques, 2 cartes graphiques différentes, 2 alimentations différentes, 2 jeux de RAM différents. Pas daffichage.

It is so fast, all the time! It feels surreal having such an amazing piece of Silicon that runs so quick for the price. It seems to run at about 40-45c in idle states (this could change depending on Cooling). 60-68c during gaming which is pretty good for gaming.
