American Casino Guide - 2010 Edition

The guide has some great coupons for LasVegas and Laughlin. Im surprised there are not more two for one buffets.It is well worth the money you get your money back only if you use a couple coupons. This is the 3rd time I have bought this book and I will buy it again next year

This book is a good value for any visitor to Vegas (in particular). The book has some solid advice about many gambling games, although dont look here for winning advice on how to play poker or bets sports (two of the beatable games offered in a casino). This advice is great for the novice gambler, but someone interested in elevating their game will need to look deeper than this book. That said, the real reason to buy this book is the coupons. It is not too hard to make your money back on the purchase price of this book if you use just 2 or 3 of the right coupons. As stated earlier, however, the largest section of coupons is for Las Vegas, so it is the Las Vegas visitor who will have the easiest time recouping your investment in this book. Look at the coupons closely to see how they fit your intended 2011 travel schedule. It is worth noting that most of the Las Vegas coupons are for casinos away from the more popular South and Central Strip locations. In this regard, it is highly helpful to rent a car to take advantage of all of the Las Vegas coupons. A final, important note: the Sahara casino will be closing in early May. The 2011 American Casino Guide contains a $25 matchplay that will no longer be redeemable after early May, 2011. So, dont factor that coupon into the value of the guide unless you a headed to Vegas in the next month.

Such a great resource for gamblers who are on the road, visiting a new casino for the first time.

I can not imagine ANYONE going on vacation to Vegas, and not having this book tucked into their carry-on luggage!! Plenty of info to read on the plane about each casino, including what times the Bellagio Fountains go off, the Mirage volcano, etc, etc. Information in the book about how to play different types of table and casino games (Keno, craps, etc). The coupons alone make this book invaluable. My favorite? - The two-for-one coupon at the Silverton Casino (Blue Diamond Rd and I-15 in Las Vegas). Friday night is their fantastic seafood buffet. Normal cost for the buffet is $20 per person...use this two-fer coupon, and you have saved the cost of this book and MADE a few dollars. You cant go wrong with this book - I love it and buy it every year!!

If youre traveling out to Vegas and wants some cheap eats or free gameplay then check out this book theres a lot of awesome stuff in it. I know I got a few free meals a few free drinks and a few free $10 game plays out of it

I bought this mainly for the coupons but boy was I impressed, the book gives a good intro to how table games work and a nice rundown on each casino. The accompanying website is a great resource to learn more on house edge and strategy.

i buy it solely for vegas. between the freeplay and matchplay, youll get your moneys worth whether youre staying on the strip, off-strip or downtown. you dont need to run around to mom and pop casinos to make it pay off (but they make it worth your time if you choose to). kinda disappointing the gold spike didnt renew their $7 room offer from the 2010 book but its hardly a dealbreaker. if youre going to vegas for more than 1 day, buy a copy for each person going.

Each year we buy 1 American Casino Guide for each person in our party going to Vegas. Before going, cut the coupons for the Free slot play, Match Play and any others that look interesting. One day of our trip is coupon day. We use the GPS we brought on the trip and scoot from casino to casino using the above valuable coupons at the slots/crap table or blackjack table. We go in, get a players card, for a $10 match play coupon, buy $10 in chips, place the coupon and the $10 in chips on the table and if we win we get back our $10 chips plus $20 more. Our last trip in July 2010 we won far more than we lost on these coupons. It was fun visiting a lot of different casinos and seeing a lot of Vegas. These coupons more than pay for the cost of the guide and once you do what Ive described you may also make this a tradition on your trips to Vegas.....Note, the coupons are good once per year per casino; you cant go twice during a 12 month period and use the same coupon at that casino from another American Casino Guide. Besides the coupons, the guide has a lot of info on the various games, casinos, points of interest ect..... Buy it well before your trip and read it. Plan your trip and enjoy.
