> 3 dayWhen looking for this tool for your HVAC trade, remember to always look to see if they are rated for Vacuum. This is really important. If they are not, you will not be able to pull a proper vacuum. These have always the go-to in this situation. Also if looking, NAVAC tools put out one rated for vacuum too.

> 3 dayBest core tools I have ever owned. Easy to use. Buy 3. Use one on liquid valve, 1 on suction valve port and third on port of core tool to have a valve to close your micron gauge off with. DO NOT TRUST MINI BALL VALVES. ALL Yellow Jacket ball valves I own LEAK. Not these core tools. Ball valves work on charging hose ends to take pressure temp readings okay, but only use these core tools if you want good low micron pumps downs that hold around 250 microns.

> 3 dayDoesnt really save your life but will save much time to remove faulty valve cores without pump down. Plus vacuum rated!

> 3 dayIm new to this, but Ill tell you what (I think) Ive learned about this tool. Dont think of it as a Valve Core Removal Tool, think of it as your access point into your sealed system. Removing the valve core is a necessary part of that, but the purpose of this tool is to provide the two male 1/4 ports. The side port is always connected to the system and provides an all-metal (wont leak under vacuum) 1/4 connection for your thermocouple micron gauge, and the rear port connects to your 1/4 hose to your manifold. Vacuum your system down through your manifold, watching your progress on your side-mounted micron gauge. Then close the ball valve on this tool and your micron gauge is still reading system vacuum, while your hoses and manifold are out of the picture. This valve is vacuum rated to 20 microns, now you understand why that is important. This is the MGAVCT which has a female 1/4 connection to the system, the MGAVCR has a female 5/16 connection to the system and the same two 1/4 (side and back) ports. Note that if your micron gauge doesnt tolerate pressure youll need something like a YJ 69067 ball valve to isolate it before you start adding refrigerant. (I think Ive read the YJ 69075 doesnt like more than a few PSI) From the moment you get the recloseable clamshell packaging, everything about this tool feels like quality. All metal, great weight and feel, and really nice knurling. It comes with two spare o-rings, and instructions for buying a rebuild kit and parts should you ever need it. Packaging says Parts and products made in Taiwan, USA, EU, and South America. The only thing that could improve this tool would be if it said Made in USA on it.

> 3 dayPretty awesome piece of gear, seems to be made with pride, very nicely machine finished. Has a nice detent on the ball valve that clicks into place, wasn’t expecting that, very nice detail that lets you know it’s fully open. Glad I went for this one, paid a little more for it, but a few dollars won’t matter if I enjoy using it a few times. I bought it because I run into leaking valves and it’ll be nice to just be able to replace them without having to mess with charge in the system, being able to evacuate quicker and get a T for my micron gage is just a bonus. Very pleased with it so far. It’s very heavy for its size made with plenty of material, nothing thin or cheap about it. Very grippy, easy to tighten with oil on your hands while not digging into your skin like it’s too sharp.. Just a nice little piece.

Greater than one weekPurchased my original one because I saw them on so many HVACR pro videos. I loved it so much I bought a second one. The seals are great all the way around, the threads on the connections are smooth and the ball valve is leak free. They even include an extra set of o-rings. Ill continue to buy these as/if needed.
