> 3 dayComparing the negative reviews to the positive reviews to my own experience, its pretty clear that most of the people giving this thing a bad review didnt realize what they were actually buying. This will NOT air condition your entire house. Its basically just a small fan that blows colder air than a regular fan at you. Like regular fans, that means will not cool off your entire house or apartment, but it will keep the area in front of it cool. And its amazing! We put it on the ottoman in front of the couch while watching tv, and having a regular floor fan behind us with this thing in front was way cooling, much better than the fan by itself. Its not going to replace an actual air conditioner on a super hot day, but its got just enough cooling power to be really helpful if you cant use an a/c (maybe because you live in an apartment and technically arent allowed to have one, or you cant afford to buy one because yiiiiikes theyre expensive). But its really helpful for if a fan just isnt enough to cool you down. Also because of its small size, I find I prefer using it to fans when its a little cooler out. Sometimes fans are obnoxious, theyre loud, they blow things over, but this little thing doesnt have the blowing power to knock all your papers off your desk like a big floor fan does. I like to just have it on the ottoman blowing on my propped-up feet. Its supreme. I see some people complaining about how you cant turn the lights off, but you can. You need to keep hitting the light button, you have to cycle through all the light options but theres an off option at the end of them. The lights that indicate what settings are on dont turn off, but theyre really minor - like, they arent really bright. I especially like that this thing is small enough that it wont be hard to store somewhere in winter when it presumably wont be needed, unlike those big oscillating fans which are awkward to find a place for. Cons: On the highest settings its kind of noisy, but its a steady noise level so its easy to learn to tune out and turn the tv volume up over. Also the plug for it gets EXTREMELY hot after its been on. I dont think its necessarily a fire hazard, but I would give it a few minutes after you turn it off before you unplug it from the wall. All in all, if you know what to expect from this little guy, you will really enjoy it and appreciate it. Dont go into this thinking its a $35 air conditioner that will put your entire home into the arctic circle. It will give a nice cold blast to the area about 6 feet in front of it, which cools more efficiently than a fan but isnt as effective as an actual air conditioner. This guy is an air *cooler*. Side note: Youre encouraged to put ice cubes in the fill thing, and it can take an entire tray of ice cubes to fill it up!

Greater than one weekIts alright for an hour or so then you have to fill it with ice cubes and water again to keep you cool. I usually but it on the table if I have a barbecue on a hot day but it gets tiring to keep having to refill.

> 3 dayI oredred this expecting it to cool the whole room so I was disappointed when I realized that it couldnt do that. However, this is perfect for personal cooling. I leave it on my desk and have it pointed at me all day. I have never been hot in my room since this product. It does get a little noisy and the sound leaks into my mic when I am talking tho. Overall great product.

Greater than one weekIt does a great job for what it’s designed to do. However, it can’t keep up with dissipating the mist it makes, so it often dribbles out of the front or rear. Put a towel or plate under it and it should be fine. Would not recommend putting on real wood or veneer surfaces.

> 3 dayThis is a great cooler!! It works especially well if youre at your office desk and it feels a little warm in your office. I get hot easily so my need for cool air is constant. I work with someone and we share a desk; but it only cools me and doesnt effect the other person. I reiterate what has been said before; it will not cool off a whole room. In general, it works well if you are going to be sitting or just being in one place for a long period of time such as a desk or maybe watching TV. Although the information on the product says you dont have to refill it for 10 hours; Ive noticed that every 4 to 5 hours it gets a little low and I have to put a little more water in it. But, due to the size, obviously the water requirements are very light. A small to medium-sized cup usually serves the purpose. Another feature not mentioned in the info of this product is that it can run on a power bank. It uses a USB C connection; so, if you either dont have easy access to an outlet or want to see if you can save electricity, just purchase a USB cable with a USB C connection that will plug into a power bank. Of course, there is the wall adapter option as well. A third up side is the ability to remove the cartridge, soak with water and chill it in your freezer. There is a noticeable increasing in cooling when I do this. I would recommend it as long as you remember that it will only cool off a small space such as your desk or your bed.

> 3 dayI found a lot of mixed reviews here but I took the chance on an item that could be a gimmick. I have not tested in the summer yet but initial test show that it could possible keep my person cool in the very small office I have. I do not think this will do anything in an average bedroom unless blowing directly on you. I have another small fan in my office and when both on high, they make about the same noise. The air is cooler than a regular fan. Condensation does buildup on the front so I will likely have to place a small towel underneath but if it works as I expect in the summer time, that will be worth it. This is not an air conditioning unit but it is a nifty item that will come in handy on the hot days stuck in my office.

> 3 dayI got my Arctic Air Pure Cool 2.0 yesterday and tested it last night. This works as advertised and does exactly what its designed to do. This is not an air conditioner with a compressor etc etc. It is a small, personal evaporative air cooler and works only to cool you and not the entire room. It works best close to you and pointed at you. It does blow nice, cool air and by following the directions it can be made colder. Technically these dont lie by calling these air conditioners because technically, an evaporative air cooler is a type of air conditioner. Personally I love mine and it actually made me cold last night (I bought it for by my bed for the really hot nights). Very well designed and easy to maintain. Just as I said, do not expect this to cool an entire room, the device isnt meant to do that. As I stated, its to be pointed at you, in close proximity, and filled with water, optimally the cartridge presoaked and frozen, put together and you turn it on to help best the heat and take the edge off. Think if it as a step up from just a tiny desk fan. Very good product though! Be warned, I do live on a humid environment and while this works very well, these are meant to be used on dryer climates. Just Google evaporative air coolers for more info on how they work and such,
