Arctic Silver 5 AS5-3.5G Thermal Paste

Paired this with a Xigmatec Apache cooler to lower my idle temp on my AMD Phenom 855 by 4 degrees celcius. Not bad for the $20 I spent on the cooler and thermal paste combined.

Just so you know, this is just enough for one desktop CPU or 2 laptop CPUs. This did not come in a sealed package, so its not possible to confirm with 100% certainty this is actually Arctic Silver inside.

The only thermal paste/grease I trust when Im building or upgrading a computer.

Its no question that artic silver 5 is one of the best compounds out there for the money. Keep in mind this is the tiny tube (like the ones that come with some aftermarket coolers).

This was a good product. easily applied and it appeared to have good thermal conduction. If you are ordering something that requires a thermal compound throw this in the cart too.

My laptop fan was continuously running so I bought this, cleaned off the old residue and applied a small dot to the center of my cpu and now the fan actually turns off.
