We bought this book because we loved the first book! The second book was also equally amazing. Our little one (1 year old now) always grabs one of these books for us to read to him. He picks it up and demands that we sing! Great for those who are just learning Chinese. I was born in the US and learned mandarin growing up, but my literacy was soso. This book really allows for all skill levels to use.

I have a 4.5-year-old and a 9-month-old. They both love both the Bao Bao Learns Chinese books. The songs are delightful and enjoyable for everyone. They dont get on my nerves like a lot of books with buttons. They are great for taking in the car, but they get a lot of use around the house as well. It has been almost a year since we got the first one and its just as popular as ever with my older son. Its helping him grow in his ear for and enjoyment of Chinese. These are my favorite Chinese language-learning tools. We are hoping for even more books in the future. Thank you!

Bought this for my nephew. Love that it sings the songs in Chinese. Just LOVE this book.

I like everything about this book!

This book is fantastic. The songs are clear with familiar melodies and for us, this works great. I am Taiwanese and only learned some mandarin in college but with the PinYin, I can pronounce correctly and sing along with my 5yo twins. It’s perfect to train their ears to mandarin!

My husband and I are 2nd generation Chinese American and fluent in Mandarin. One of our biggest hopes is that our 7 month old daughter also grows up learning to speak and understand Mandarin Chinese. This book is one step in the right direction! The illustrations are beautiful, songs are recorded in a warm and catchy manner, and it’s so helpful to have the Chinese simplified characters, pinyin and English translations all together. My daughter loves listening to me sing along to the book recordings and I hope a bit down the road we’ll be able to sing together!

This is our favorite chinese/english book for my two boys. Ive also started gifting these to other friends. Its obvious there was so much attention and care in the selection of songs, art, and everything. Love this and will be buying more!

I gave this book for my babys 1st birthday and since she carries it with her. PeiPeis voice is so soothing and clear for listening to the songs and pronunciation. Im American born Chinese of mixed Asian decent. My husband is mixed European/American. Right now she cant sing along, but she rocks to the music, points at the contrasting pictures in the book. One of the best features of the book is that the buttons are easy for baby to press. Other sound books, she got frustrated trying to get it to play. This is not the case here! I can WFH and watch her enjoy the book on her own. My parents loved the song selections and sang along at the birthday party.
