300W will likely blow your car fuse! Watts=Amps*Volts. If you have a 15 amp fuse, at 12Volts, going over 180watts going to blow it. That being said, this worked great for lower wattage uses, and might work fine directly wired to the battery.

Little bulky but works well

I was so tired of looking for cords for this laptop or that laptop or my cell phone, or my husbands cell phone so I finally said the heck with it and purchased this after doing some research.. We are on the road for business almost every weekend and sometimes we are on the road for 20 hours at a time. Im so glad I purchased this. Ive used it for cell phones and laptops and its performed top notch. A little noisy with the fan going but nothing so bad that you need to talk loudly over it or put the radio up louder. Great product. and I would buy it again

Best thing I ever have used for long trips on car! Not that much noisy, since any car has its own noises... It charges pen drives and small laptops quickly.
