I chose this over the smaller cousin that Bissell offers primarily for the adapters that it came with. This vacuum isnt too loud, considering its got a tiny motor (generally the smaller the louder, whinier they become), and the suction is quite phenomenal. Previously we owned a cordless vac, which turned out to be a mistake, as the battery eventually died in a few months, and overheated to the point of turning the pearly white plastic case to turn a dark shade of sweat-yellow. Eurk. I have to say, this handheld is very cute. It reminds me of a mouse, and the color is pleasantly akin to a fresh wedge of cheddar cheese. It is very light, and the control handle is intuitive in both the left and right hands. As this unit is not cord-free, they provide a velcro strap for people to wrap up the cables. If youre careful, you can rewrap the cord quite similarly to how it came packaged, as the rubber/inner wire has partially molded into that wrapped up shape. If youre not one to roll up cables properly, Im not sure why youd be looking into a smaller hand held vac in the first place :) A small gripe is that theres no way to store all the additional accessories of the unit, nor does it come with a handy pouch to keep them in one spot when not in use. Not a biggie, but still something that I feel was overlooked. Additionally, the tube that is supplied with the unit is fairly short. I find myself stooping a lot, so Im not sure if they kept it short to maintain a low manufacturing cost of the tubes, or if you lose more suction with a longer length. Cleaning the unit is super easy; one click and the unit pops out. Do this over a trash can, because a lot of gunk hangs onto the filter, which in turn remains on the vacuum, and does not come off with the clear plastic area, which means youll get some spillage. Using this, I was able to pick up bark from a plant accident in my car, bits of paper and fluff from in front of the dryer, lots of my girlfriends hair from the staircase (with just a few spontaneous fly-bys), even longer pieces of plastic, and eventually, I will pick up the feces of my new hamster, Zoey! For some people it might not be worth $40 to spend on a vacuum. There are certainly different brands out there. But this one really packs in on the suction power and comes with a generous length of cord, which make cleaning the stairs a joyous occasion now.

I bought this to vacuum my stairs, and boy, did it deliver!! I have two dogs and 2 cats, so as you can imagine, it gets hairy!! Not only did it work, it exceeded my expectations. With the attachments that it comes with, I’m also able to use it on my sofas, and it’s pretty perfect for those pesky little spiderwebs in the corners of the room!

The suction on this thing is really good. The cordless models I had been getting just lost suction over time - being this is corded, Im hoping it will be different. Easy to use, I like that the on switch is on the handle where your thumb can switch it on. If you set it down however while using it, it just flops over on its side. Not a big deal, but annoying.

This little miracle corded vacuum 47R51 by Bissell out preforms all of the battery operated small vacuums. The is because it is corded and has more power and also because it is a Bissell product, from a line of manufacturers in vacuums known for top quality and performance. I wish Bissell made this same corded vacuum in a hand held vacuum that could be one and 1/2 times as large so that the see through cannister would be able to hold more dire and hair and cat litter. The only disadvantage of this product is the fact that it is too small and has to be emptied more frequently than another vacuum might be emptied. The replicable filters are useful and do not cost much and do not have to be replaced at every emptying of the dirt trap. Also, taking it apart and reassembling it is very easy and much more logical than other small vacuums in its category. Remember, power is related to the ability to plug a unit into an electrical source. Forget about the battery charging units, the amount of time that they perform before recharging is too limited.

I have owned the pet hair eraser version of this corset handheld vacuum for years. It is the only thing that works for me. When I saw that it was available with the same attachment that gets the hair in addition to several others along with a much longer cord...I had to have it. Now I can easily get my car, and reach areas the pethair model does not reach. I am completely satisfied and if you take care of it then it will take care of you for years. I make sure to clean the container and filter after every use and the suction maintains its effectiveness and reliability. A corded appliance in todays modern world is often shunned but personally I have never had a positive experience, long term, with a rechargeable non-corded vacuum, regardless if it is a handheld, upright, high end or generic. This small and easy to hold & maneuver gem is a cleaning powerhouse!

I wanted a corded small vacuum for cleaning furniture. It works pretty well.

As of November, 2015, this still works perfectly. My biggest complaint at this point is that when I use the hose attachment, the hose is rather stiff, and if you turn the hose a certain way, it makes the whole hand-vac tumble over. I purchased this to replace our previous one that I burned out the motor on. So far, this has done a better job than our previous hand-vac, and the previous one did a good job. We have two cats, one of them being a long-haired cat, and this hand-vac gets the cat hair off the carpet much better. The vacuum comes with several attachments. The standard attachment has rubber nubs on the end and does a good job at picking up the cat hair. There is also a little hose attachment and a piece that attaches to that with a velvety material that does a great job at gathering hair from furniture. In addition, there is also a crevice tool to get into corners well, and works very well on stairs. The hand-vac is a bit noisy, but it gets the job done. I also see why people have complained about the air rushing out the side of the vacuum. You have to be strategic about where you aim the side of the hand-vac, or you may end up blowing all your dust and pet hair around the room while you are trying to pick it up. That being said, it is not difficult to manage that. I do find the handle to be a bit more awkward to hold than our old hand-vac, but not a big con.

I have bought many handheld vacuums in the past only to be disappointed with weak suction. This little vacuum has as much suction power as a regular upright!! I’ve used in my car, on steps, and blanket that my cat naps on. On every occasion, it works like a charm! Makes short work of any cleaning. Would recommend to anyone
