Really like this vacuum. I have owned it for two years with no issues. It has plenty of power and does everything I expect it to. I had a battery powered one prior to this and really disliked it because I couldnt get through one set of stairs without it dying on me. That was the reason I purchased this one. The hose is very useful and takes care of the problem some people were complaining about with the air blowing stuff around. I highly recommend spending the extra $10 to get it. We have a cat and a lab and this handles the hair just fine. One note that could improve the product. The cord could be removable near the base of the unit. I know this voided the warranty, but I cut the cord and installed a connector near the base. This allows me to unplug the unit when I need to empty it and not take the entire cord with me. Dont do this if you dont know what you are doing when it comes to electricity. I do that kind of stuff for work. Pros: 1) Powerful 2) Can do one set of 13 stairs before needing to be emptied 3) The attachments are handy 4) Doesnt need to be charged 5) Not to heavy (Average size man in 20s) Cons: 1) Cord was a little cumbersome until I fixed it

This little miracle corded vacuum 47R51 by Bissell out preforms all of the battery operated small vacuums. The is because it is corded and has more power and also because it is a Bissell product, from a line of manufacturers in vacuums known for top quality and performance. I wish Bissell made this same corded vacuum in a hand held vacuum that could be one and 1/2 times as large so that the see through cannister would be able to hold more dire and hair and cat litter. The only disadvantage of this product is the fact that it is too small and has to be emptied more frequently than another vacuum might be emptied. The replicable filters are useful and do not cost much and do not have to be replaced at every emptying of the dirt trap. Also, taking it apart and reassembling it is very easy and much more logical than other small vacuums in its category. Remember, power is related to the ability to plug a unit into an electrical source. Forget about the battery charging units, the amount of time that they perform before recharging is too limited.

I got this little vacuum for my laundry room. I have 3 dogs and that means I get lots of hair along with lint in my dryer filter. When I wash the boys kennel bedding the fur level is at its peak. But everyday washing still generates a lot of lint and some fur. I used to drag my large upright vacuum into the laundry room put the hose and extension on and then have to walk and work around it just so I could vacuum the fuzz from my lint filter and off the floor and that nice little spot between the filter and the door that just likes to catch every piece of fuzz and fur and who knows what imaginable. My laundry room is in one of my bathrooms and if I didnt get the laundry all done that day, the vacuum would stay in there and really be in the way. So began my hunt for a little dust busting vacuum. This little sucker has a hose attachment with just the right tip so I can get into the lint filter cubby and all the other little spots lint builds up in. It does get full quick because now I just suck the entire lint filter clean with it. But it has some serious suction and picks everything up. Its nothing like the dust busters I remember from my childhood that my mother would fight with because it was worthless. The cord is very long. Its a very light unit making it a snap to carry and store. The tank snaps off with ease and you can carry it to the garage without it dropping its contents everywhere. The fan on the side is very powerful and the filter does a great job. Overall this little unit is impressive and the $40.00 I spent on it is nothing compared to its convenience and friendliness.

5.006/18/2018 SO FAR SO GOOD: EXCELLENT HAND VAC FOR PET FUR PICKUP Best Uses Pet Hair on furniture and other pet sleeping areas Our cat and two dogs are allowed on a few pieces of furniture. We have looked long and far for a dustbuster hand vac which actually will pick up pet hair and lint without damaging the surface of the furniture and which has the suction to pick up all the hair. When our latest iteration of a hand vac died, we did some research and discovered Bissell. After reading the reviews we could find, we settled on the Deluxe Corded Hand Vac - 47R51. We were concerned that one review said the filter became clogged and had to be replaced often. Even so, we decided to order the 47R51 and we are so glad we did. It picks up pet hair far more easily and more quickly than any hand vac we have ever owned. We do not understand the criticism because we are able to empty the pet hair quickly and easily. We have only been using the 47R51 for three weeks, so our experience is limited. However, I would buy another one today is we were to break the one we currently have. We are not sure how or why it works so well, but it does.

Love this little machine! It gets all the little crumbs and definitely helps with all the Cat hair. I have a long hair mane coin and she shears like crazy! This helps so much to keep my couch’s clean.

I have owned two of these little vacuums...use it mostly on my stairs and does a great job. My only complaint is that the handle is hollow and eventually will crack with frequent use. Had this happen with both vacuums and with this last one, I husband-rigged it with lots of electrical tape and am still using it!

Product arrived this morning. We needed something for doing our carpeted stairs as oposed to lugging the upright beater Hoover over them. We thought this might be the ticket? It was and is! Just a great little easy to handle and powerful vaccum. Found it works best on the carpeted steps using the hose and the flat suction nozzle. We have a little dog. It picked his shed fur also, Very pleased!

This is PERFECT for what I wanted. Ive been looking for a handheld vacuum with a hose for some time for dusting. I have allergies and vacuuming away that dust is so much better than dry dusting or dusting with dusting sprays. The suction is perfect for this, not very noisy, long cord, and the vacuum is light and easy to handle and easy to clean. The MAJOR issue is that this unit uses Bissells odd attachment size - 1 1/8? - and the attachments fit IN the opening, not over the opening. You cannot use standard 1 1/4 attachments that fit over the hose without an adapter. The vacuum doesnt come with a brush attachment either or it wouldnt be a problem for me. I was able to buy an adapter on eBay and now can use all my existing attachments. Depending on what you need it for, but knowing the situation with the attachments, it could be perfect. But I wish Bissell had either included a brush attachment or included an adapter.

I dont usually leave a review but this vacuum is amazing! I thought my carpeted steps were clean but after using this the container was full of cat hair. I have 2 cats and couldnt believe how much hair was still in the carpet. I love this vac!
