Got the game for Christmas and the 4 of us played it every night for a month. (Kids ages 12 & 9)

I selected this game as a Christmas gift for family fun. Being in a competive family, this really teaches the children how to see things in an abstract way and to think out of the box. I am 60 and enjoy this game as much as the younger ones in the family. I can feel myself going hehehe as I place a particular piece and the grandkids going thanks Grandma......fun.......

I bought this for my 5years daughters Christmas present. At first, I worried about is this ok to her age. But She love it. She tried to win it and also she think about how to do it. I read lots of review of this game. Thanks for helping choose this game.

Love this game as it reminds me of Tetris! 2 player is perfect for a couple, and they have the 4 player game for a group. Easy to learn and fun to complete the puzzle with all your prices if you can;). A must have if you like puzzle board games.

Blokus is a combination of Tetris, chess and Chinese Checkers. It is incredibly easy to learn, and as tactically challenging as chess (I am an intermediate chess player). With four players, it is as riling as Monopoly (why are you after ME all the time????). The two player version is more calculable, as the pieces are fewer. I highly recommend both the 4 and 2 player versions of the game.

I absolutely love this game it definitely is educational but also a lot of fun. I also like this game because it is super easy to understand.

Thank you Blokus! We have a multi generational living situation in our home and had decided collectively to play more games as a family. I bought this as a gold box deal during the holiday season 2009. The price was sixty percent off of Amazons listed retail price. The discount caught my eye but it was the 4 and 5 star reviews by over 400 people that sold me immediately. We got around to playing it today and we all had a blast. The first game was played by myself, my four year old son, and my mother whose left side (and right brain) has been paralyzed by a stroke. The tiles take a delicate hand to place. Perfect for fine motor skills for both my 4yo and my mom! A lot of forethought and strategy involved. My 4 year old won the first game with the help of both his mother and his grandmother. My 10 year old beat me the rest of the night. Everyone that did play really enjoyed the game. I hope I can update this review when my 16yo and husband play. I have no doubt they will both enjoy it. If it goes back down to the price I paid during the gold box deal I will stock up and give this game as gifts to my siblings, in laws, and their families. Perfect as a hostess gift or a housewarming gift too! For two players the instructions state to use all four sets of tiles. One player could easily play with the goal of placing all the tiles. As a matter of fact I should go do that now. I have to beat my 10yo.
