17-12-2024It took a while and a fair amount of research to connect the plug to my WiFi network. The instructions are wrong and the product does not appear on the list of devices on the app you are directed to install do operate the plug. Although the plug appears to be manufactured and sold by BN-LINKS, you can only control the plug via an app from Feit Electric,. The instructions instructions direct you download and install an app from the manufacture (BN-LINKS) to a mobile device to be able to control the plug. I could detect the plug but not control it. When I tried to connect the plug to Alexa, I got a notice and a link to update the app. That led took me to another company’s app, which when I attempted to instal, actually downloaded an update to an app from Feit Electric (which I just happened to have to control some other devices). The Feit app located and connected to the plug and to Alexa.

> 3 dayThis is definitely worth the time it took to install it. It was hard for me at first as I had to adjust my router to seperate the 5.0 and 2.4hz of the router but once I got that done, it made it so much easier to turn on my light when I needed them.

> 3 dayThis device works really well. I use it to turn our electric fence on and off. I have it set up with Google Assistant and use voice command to turn it on and off when going out to feed animals. We also have one connected to a flood light at the barn that is also connected to voice command.

> 3 dayGiving a 3 rating solely due to it recommending a bad app to work with. Tried several times to setup using the BN-Link as the directions stated.. big mistake! After wasting a half hour of my life, I decided to use the “Smart Life” app which was already on my phone. I was connected and setup in about two minutes flat! Other than that, device seems to work as it should. Not much to it.

> 3 dayWorks great with the lights on the patio. Love the option of dimming the lights when I want to and can turn them on or off from anywhere. Set up was easy. Just wish the cord was a little bit longer

20-12-2024This is a good value. The setup instructions are challenging, but once its up and running it works great. This is my second one and its convenient to be able to control lights from my phone or Alexa

> 3 dayI bought 3 of these, then 2 more later on. I use them outdoors, in a covered location since they are not waterproof, for landscape lighting. The device is solid and the short wire is heavy duty. The installation - like many IOT accessories - can be a little confusing at first, but following the instructions is all that is needed. Once you have the App installed on your phone and a device saved, adding more devices is very easy. They get a 5/5 from me since the devices work turning on the lights, and turning off the lights, on time, according to my programmed schedule. The App even gives you the outside temperature, humidity, air pressure and wind speed.
