This is my first time trying a nano-HA toothpaste. I read about it and then my son said he used one. I have nothing against fluoride and have used a fluoride toothpaste for I suppose 63 years now. But, if there is something potentially more effective and even safer, I think its worth a try. This is fine to use although I cant comment on its effectiveness. I do think it whitens a bit better than the gentle whitening fluoride toothpastes Ive been using. I have bern using a toothpaste for sensitivity-so far I havent noticed increased sensitivity with this toothpaste.

Love their toothpaste but only get it through Amazon when it’s in stock. Ordering through Boka is a joke, will take a minimum of two weeks to receive or more if you check other reviews out there, for some it’s insanely worse. Boka’s customer service is also non existent so if you order through them you may be out of luck. If other manufacturers start introducing more toothpastes with hydroxyapatite that aren’t some form of mint (hate mint), I’d switch but Boka unfortunately has the only game in town with unique flavors. I want to try their coconut ginger and lemon lavender but it’s been well over a week since I ordered directly through Boka and they’ve not processed or shipped my order yet so maybe one day I’ll get to try them.

So, the title of my review may seem odd for a toothpaste…but if you have limited manual dexterity due to injury (as I do) or arthritis, things like an easy to grip/twist cap and a softer plastic tube really do make a day to day difference! This was not my reason for buying Boka toothpaste (bought it for the remineralization and interesting flavors [i like Tom’s of Maine’s fennel toothpaste]), but I am really chuffed that the design of the tube has made my life easier. I used Hello Sensitivity before, and that cap was a nightmare - too hard to flip open, even for my husband. The Boka tube is more flexible, too, making it easier to squeeze out the last few blops of paste. Regarding flavor, I’ve only tried Lemon Lavender so far…it’s interesting, and tasty, but not “refreshing” if mint is more your style. It kind of reminds me of less-sweet cupcake frosting. Looking forward to trying Coco Ginger next. Overall, leaves my teeth feeling really clean.

For about a year, Boka Ela Mint was always out of stock when it was time to re-up on toothpaste. I ended up getting the ginger flavor, even though I was so-so on it without a basis for comparison. Finally got the Ela Mint, and it is fine, but a little strong. I prefer the Ginger and will order that flavor again when this runs out. I was slightly worried about the erythritol, but that recent study has a shifty methodology. People with those health conditions had elevated levels, but the body produces it and there is no indication that participants consumed it from other sources. I still try to minimize swallowing—it is toothpaste, after all. Edit: The Ela Mint flavor does not contain erythritol. Ginger does, but I stand by my preference.

Didnt realize how sensitive to cold my teeth were til after using Boka toothpaste for awhile. I like that the mint is mild flavored.

This is an amazing toothpaste for it not having fluoride. I’ve found that a lot of non fluoride toothpastes either taste weird, don’t foam, don’t clean well at all! This is the first one where it feels like a “regular” toothpaste. The mint flavor is very nice, makes my teeth/mouth feel very clean. Will be purchasing again and again.

I cut dyes out of my daughters foods, but never thought to look into other products. Well recently I became aware that toothpaste has not only dyes, but SLS (sodium laurel sulfate). Ive always known that toothpaste has a neurotoxin known as flouride, but not how it could be effecting my toddlers teeth. After we started using flouride (about 18 months old, when she could understand you cant swallow the toothpaste) she developed dark staining on her front two teeth. I immediately took her to the dentist, and they told me it was from sugar sitting on her teeth after nursing. I never argued that, until we switched to BOKA. A month after boka, my girls staining was less noticeable. My husband also uses this kind because mint makes him gag (on the spectrum) and he says his teeth have never felt so clean. I have ocd with my teeth, and this is the first Flouride-free paste that feels like it cleans my teeth well. No grittyness or film is leftover. I have always suffered from sensitive teeth, and our dds has suggested letting sensodyne sit on my teeth. Again, I never questioned it. After 2 months of using boka, I dont even think twice about eating ice cream or drinking a cold drink. Our dds confirmed that our teeth are in tip top shape, and a soft spot I had last visit (6 mos ago) is no longer soft, just dark. After our exam, I told her we switched to flouride free and she was speechless. I have never in my life gotten a good report at the dds, and always chalked it up to bad genetics- after all I brush and floss at least 2x a day! This stuff is a miracle product, I tell everyone to switch from traditional toothpaste!!!! Wish it was available in stores, hopefully I can recruit enough customers that it will be!

Its only been about 3 weeks since I’ve started using boka, but I can say it makes my teeth a little extra smooth, which I’m guessing is a notion of clean. The other differentiating benefit I’ve seen is that the little aches in my gums (sensitivity) have subsided and my teeth feels alot stronger when biting and chewing food and fruits. Like other reviewers I havent seen the calcification yet, but I guess that takes time. I’ll write an update in a month.

I know the effects of the active ingredient happen over a longer period of time, but after having a few dental concerns, I felt like it was this, or pony up for more prescription flouride toothpaste from my dentist. I was told I brush too hard during my last dental visit, where had I developed sensitivity after getting a side buckle filling that persisted for almost a month until using this. Wierdly, almost a few days later, most sensitivity around my mouth just diminished... I feel a lot more confident chewing in different parts of my mouth now! Its amazing what we take for granted. The coco ginger flavor I started using is the perfect balance of flavor, not too strong and actually something I now actually look forward to. I brush with a small dab, spit, then cover my teeth with another small dab to let it soak in. After looking at multiple products here, I noticed this was the least abrasive, and offered the best value for the size of a product with nano sized particles. My teeth feel stronger, whiter, and will absolutely be buying again in the future. I may possibly even try a new flavor, even though this one is fantastic.
