> 24 hourGreat as always! This is my go-to paper for my watercolor art. It handles multiple washes pretty well and comes off the glue binding without ripping the page. It has a nice thickness and light texture. I recommend this paper to anyone - esspecially beginner to intermediate painters.

> 24 hourI use watercolor cakes when I paint watercolors, I dont over saturate with water when i do so. That being said, my first painting i did on this didnt warp at all as I only painted two small birds in the center. But my second paint encompassed the whole paper and it warp very badly. Also, as soon as i took it out of packaging the pad was not attached to the covers. All the sheets of paper were glued together but not adhereing to the cover or binding. But for the price, it is hard to beat so i wasnt expecting super quality paper. But Ive bought this brand before and the paper was better then.

> 24 hourIve gone through about 8 pads of this stuff and I like it a lot. Its not perfect or the best for sure, but it works for me and what I want it for. I like to cut it up into smaller pieces and make small watercolor paintings and card fronts. So far Ive used it with traditional cake watercolors and Real Brush Pens and it was great for both, except if you get it to wet it is near impossible to keep it from buckling. Also, if you go over an area too many times it will pill/tear... but that is probably mostly due to my somewhat novice technique.

> 24 hourLove this paper because it’s cheap enough to mess up with out crying as I watch dollar bills float away... I usually use it for rough drafts, then the expensive (Arches) brand for commissioned work or to submit for prints. I didn’t give a full five stars because no matter how securely it’s taped down, it still warps. But it’s worth the money :)

> 24 hourI purchased several of the Canson watercolor pads for practice work with watercolors. The paper is of decent quality with one side that is textured and the other smooth making them great not only watercolor but other mediums as well. It handles wet on wet washes fairly well without the paper pilling but doesnt accomodate as many layers as a few other brands. It is perfect for wet on dry. The pad has 30 papers and is a great value, I highly recommend it for student work or practicing as it is at a very good price point.

> 24 hourCanson XL is not cotton rag based, so dont expect the strength and absorbency of arches and other first line 140 lb paper. However, I just read a comparison review of four papers, three first line cotton papers and Canson XL, and was pleasantly surprised. Canson XL measured up very well against top line English and European cotton papers. The review is on Utube from a series called, The Mind of Watercolor, an excellent site and well worth reading. I recommend Canson XL, but implore you to be careful and gentle when scrubbing. All the disciplines work fairly well, particularly washes and wet on dry. It buckles somewhat when very wet, but flattens nicely when dry. Again, please go to Utube and read the review of 140 lb watercolor paper on The Mind of Watercolor site.

> 24 hourNot gonna lie, i was expecting a little bit more quality.. even with it taped down it still started to warp.. and as i started layering, the paper legit just started to.. crumble. IDK, i could be doing it wrong too, Im pretty new to this.
