Caran dAche Classic Neocolor II Water-Soluble Pastels, 15 Colors

Its definitely more than a crayon. Ive had time to use it only briefly so far. Used it on my daughters leg to try it for body art. Seems to work fine. Needed her leg to be wet. Will try with a paint brush next.

I recently purchased these so I have yet to really use them. The little I have done so far is really pleasing. They work well over the top of acrylic paint and blend nicely. Many colours to choose from (3 trays full) so you can go colour crazy. Also the metallic pastels are nice too. Set comes with a sharpener too which is great.

Really fantastic watercolor crayons. Smoother application that watercolor pencils.

Ive used these since I was a kid. The Water Soluable pastels make great face paint for kids. Used like that, they last a long time, too.

I’m not very expert at watercolour. This is a good set for someone who wants more control over where the color is placed. You can apply it like crayon in specific areas and carefully use a water soaked brush to move it around. More water-more translucent. It layers well and combines nicely with graphite and color pencil. Wish the set had more subtle hues. For that, one would have to get a bigger set.

I really like this product. I had used the water soluble crayons previously & love the effect they produce. I was having trouble finding more until stumbling upon them on Amazon. These are not just for kids, they are great for anyone who wishes to do watercolors w/o as much mess.

Really was looking forward to these as an extra tool for my acrylic and watercolor work, but so many arrived broken! Bummed but for the price, will be returning.
