Co-Pilot Luggage Roller Suitcase

Good compact suitcase. Top pocket is handy for the 3-1-1 bag, and hats when you dont need the space for TSA screening. The zipper that allows access to one of the two suitcase sides is a bit more awkward. Also, I am used to in-line style wheels rather than the small, less maneuverable wheels on this.

I wanted a roller bag that I could fly overseas with (and domestic). I am very happy with my purchase. the front top pouch is perfect for your liquids bag to quickly get in and out for security. the front large pocket easily hold my tablet, again , fast through security. the wheels are whisper quiet and smooth. the zippers are also smooth and robust. Compared to other 20” bags, this is better for two main reasons: first “spinner” bags have wheels that hang low, so the bag size is more like 118” but the total length (which is what counts for bin space) is up to 24” on some (that will not work for overseas or commuter jets). Second, the interior pack space is larger, you get the actual 20” and the handle channel does not rob the pack area. I’ve taken this on many trips from long weekends to 2 weeks and it was perfect. This is an investment piece. Ge.t it.

I buy quality luggage and they last many years. I expect good things from this bag. I have traveled internationally and domestically with it, and it has fit in every overhead bin. The wheels are very high quality roller blade wheels and the frame seems very sturdy. The inside has lots of organization and I love the access to the main chamber from the front of the bag. No more finding a corner in the airport and splaying out the bag to find a cord or toiletry bag inadvertently stowed away. Will update if it fails, but I think this will be with me for a long time.

Pro: perfect for my husband who only takes one suitcase regardless of how long of a trip. He was able to pack 8 days worth and really liked the quality.

Timbuk2 makes some of the best products, hands down. I purchased a medium carbon full-cycle twill Copilot earlier this year and have used it for every trip since, short (2-3 days) and long (10+ days).

I bought this bag over 10 years ago from Amazon. B/c it is an authorized reseller, when the handle started to become unreliable, I called Timbuk2. They sent a new handle, got it in 2 days during COVID delays, and its like brand new. A GREAT BAG with the most usable space inside.

I was really pleased with this on it’s first trip. I was able to pack far more than I expected. The wheels roll smooth. The split main compartment made packing easy. External access to one compartment made it easy to get through TSA quickly. It isn’t super light but having handles on each side made it easy to handle. Overall I’m very happy with it. Would recommend.

My wife and I needed new proper modern carry on luggage. our stuff worked, but had dinged up wheels and not much of the new stuff put in the newer products. Wifey wanted one for Christmas. I know, dumb xmas gift, but thats what she wanted man. I DIDNT GET HER THIS Timbuk2. I actually got her something quite a bit more expensive. that is a big part of this review. By the way, this is a roller bag meaning 2 wheels not 4. That is my personal preference as you get a little more room inside and they are easier to get in overhead bins without 4 wheels. Some like to drag the little 4 wheel lobbies around, but its 2-3 inches of space lost in the luggage.

Handle broke after four months. Their Service Department was UNRESPONSIVE except by email on their timeframes. No phone number is available. Ive been without my bag for 5 weeks with no communication from them about when except some weeks more. Better buy two if you travel much to have a spare.
