Its a corsair product, what did you expect. I feel like all their products should come in packs of two so you can send back the bad the DOA. Replacement arrived quickly and has been working great.

Bought this for a new build. Great packaging and quality. Easy to work with and install. Cant tell if I can hear it or not, but it doesnt stand out at least! I only wish the CPU cables were an inch or more longer. It was a tight stretch in a Phanteks P500A.

Works fantastic in my gaming rig

My first unit came wrapped in foam perfectly packaged and the unit has a huge dent in it and you can hear the broken components moving freely when you move the psu. Returned and got a new one again perfect packaging I install hit the power button nothing. After testing this unit with 3 motherboards 3 CPU’s & 3 sets of ram all various brands it’s dead out of the box. Having never owning a Corsair power supply before & getting 2 dead units I will never be a customer again. Wouldn’t recommend but maybe your luck will be better than mine

This is a fantastic fully modular power supply with great features if you can actually find one at retail price around $120. I have yet to have the fan turn on since I put it in a build that only draws about 500W. However, for $300 it would be a 1-2 star value for money, and probably a 3-star overall rating since its 80+ Gold, and you should be getting over 1000W and 80+ titanium for $300.

This 850 replaced a 15 year old Corsair TX650. This is the second most popular 850 Watt power supply as it costs more than the number 1 which is also a Corsair but this one runs in silent mode when running with a low power draw.
