Not much to comment other than pretty standard and glad it was available at reasonable price.

The only replacement filters that should be used with the Coway air system.

Because our apartment gets a lot of gas, we have to change the HEPA filter frequently and the packaging gives you only one HEPA filter and two thin black dust collector filters. So we have built up a collection of black dust filters since we don’t have to change those as frequently and the HEPA filter is more critical to be changed than the dust filters.

Appears to be good quality. Easy to install. Would buy again.

Does a good job with cleaning the air. The only reason this doesn’t get all five stars is because I had to air out the charcoal filter before using it. Very strong chemical smell which wasn’t with the initial air purifier I purchased.

These arent knockoffs, they obviously work (see photos of old and new) and I totally recommend. The only CON, if you want to call it a CON, is if you have allergies or burn wood during winter, Id replace them more often than whats recommended.

The newest change Coway made to cut costs is to manufacture the filters in China and I will be testing the aftermarket filters. Previously I didnt want to use aftermarket filters because I knew they would be lower quality and made in China. Now there is no reason to avoid aftermarket filters because they are probably the same as the new Coway ones, made in China. See photos for differences. I cant believe it is even legal to sell a totally different product on the same listing. Its a different SKU altogether and a different model number. Unfortunately Im not surprised at all because they have changed these filters many times. How can a filter even function if there is a sizable gap all around the edges of the purifier? Air can simply go around the filter instead of through it. Also this time the filter is once again made lighter (about 20%) and theres now a good size gap due to undersized filter. Really I cant believe I havent written this review sooner. Ive been a Coway customer for many years and I have had multiple conversations with their customer service/quality control/product design. I have 3 purifiers that take this filter and will probably expand that to 5 soon, but I will be testing the aftermarket brands. They have changed the design of this filter no less than 4 times, and Im sure they changed them more before I was a customer and also the spans of time where I had stockpiled the filters when I found sales. A couple years ago I got 2 filters that smelled like formaldehyde, totally terrible, and Coway did not take care of the issue, rather said the product was tested and safe ...there may be a temporary scent that should go away quickly in use. It did not, I threw away those filters. Shortly after that incident, they totally changed the filter design. It had 30% less pleats, it became a lot more flimsy, and physically weighed about 50% less than the old design. I run my purifiers on a constant speed of 2 and replace the filter after 1 year of service. To see how well the filters work, I actually weigh the filters when brand new and write it on the filter, and when I replace it I weigh it again. This is the only way an average Joe can test how much dust the filter collects, I know exactly how many grams of contaminants these filters remove from the air. When they changed the filter to be lower cost to manufacture, those filters was the first time I ever noticed a real change in performance, it gathered significantly less dust than the previous filters. Coway said their testing said the new filter is as good or better than the old and offered no solution or compensation for decreasing the quality and raising the price. Yes, after this change there were times the filters were $60+, luckily they have been able to bring the price down but at what cost? Quality. To be fair usually when they changed the filters in the past it wasnt clearly a cost cutting measure, but this makes for the second time they made major cost cutting changes.

Bought one for my son’s room after testing revealed he had allergies triggering his asthma. The unit is a little big, but fits nicely in the corner. The highest setting is a little loud, but the other two settings are quiet and unobtrusive. It helped with his allergies and helped cut back on the teen boy funk in his room as well. I have since bought 2 more - one for another son’s room and one for our basement.

This is my first time replacing the Coway air filters so I had the originals to compare to. They looked exactly the same as the originals Happy with the product.
