Crucial MX500 500GB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD, up to 560MB/s - CT500MX500SSD1(Z)

I used this to upgrade my Macbook Pro mid 2010 and it is fantastic!

Decided to go about upgrading my Late 2012 iMac 27 and from my experience with Windows machines I know that one of the best upgrades you can do for a system by far is to install an SSD.

De los tres me quedo con el Crucial, tienen una página web que descargar el programa de clonación y como máximo en dos horas ya tienes replicado la información, simplemente tienes que cambiar el disco HDD por el SSD. Con los otros discos SSD, el problema es buscar el programa replicador, y eso lleva horas, que bien lo vale pagar un poco más en el disco SSD (si está de oferta) y dejarte de problemas. Sobre la rapidéz de los discos SSD de los diferentes fabricantes, depende de muchos factores, pero al ser SSD, la diferencia entre los tres no la estoy notando en mis ordenadores.

It was a renew of my laptop life. I had a sluggish laptop and swapping its HD did the trick. It is fast and I didnt need to replace the laptop.

These guys are not very clear with instructions. I ordered this SSD alone, as there were no directions to buy a needed cable. I received the SSD and opened up the directions to go online for directions. I did that and then realized I was supposed to have the cable. A lady helped me and said that I should be able to install it without the cable - she sent me a couple of links. I followed those directions, which were to take a system image and create a install disk. All of that didnt work, after hours of fiddling around and trying to read about what the problem might be. I went back online for their support, and got contradictory directions. At this point I called and asked for live help, to which they responded with, You need to buy that cable. I asked for a complementary cable for all of my wasted time, and they denied this and pushed me to buy the cable (which they should have said **from the beginning).

What can I say? Crucial makes a great product. They put slower spinning hard drives in laptops to try and keep down the heat. I think all Laptops should come with an SSD instead. Runs noticeably faster and has no heat so it helps my laptop run cooler. Was a bit hard to transfer everything from the old drive but HP and I figured that out. I only wish I would have spent the extra $100 for a 1 TB instead.
