Tried to find one to buy but cant find one...very disappointed

Second edition has 6 new Action cards (they removed 6 least popular) and the value of each Treasure and Victory is largely printed. You also get a printed Trash to keep discards.

Nice and balanced game, easier to get started than you think

Bought this for my son for Christmas and he really likes it. The whole family actually likes it. Weve already played it 6 or 7 times this week. We like the fact that you can switch the cards you use every game so yo can really have a variety of different games depending on which cards you choose to use. It does take longer than 30 minutes however. Our games have lasted anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half, which is still reasonable. Im not sure how other people are playing in 30 minutes? Regardless, its a very fun game.

Many many hours of family fun. So many variations that you can play often and never get tired of this.

Dominion is awesome. I didnt buy it for a long time because its not exactly the most appealing looking game, but our group recently got into deck builders and my mother in law was looking for present ideas for Christmas. We opened it right away, but I have to be honest and say that we couldnt bring ourselves to play right away. The rulebook is horrendous. Absolute walls of text, most of it unneeded. Nevertheless, we persisted and after we managed to find the game overview, we realized how simple the game really is. Draw a hand of 5 cards from your deck. Play an action card and follow the directions on the card. Buy something. Clean up. My friends tell me it was super easy to learn and familiar feeling for Magic players, but I have never played a game like that and I caught on easily. I still havent quite developed my strategy, but the nice thing is Dominion isnt a game that causes a lot of butt hurt, in our experience, so its still fun to play even when you lose. It doesnt have the terribly long stalls like Catan can. It doesnt play quite as fast as the box says, but perhaps thats because we play for fun and not to break the game. If youre into card counting and probabilities, you could probably strategize your way to a win very quickly, though!

Love this game. We will probably get an extension soon. Easy to learn, no need to be an experienced gamer.

This quickly became one of our favorite games. We love how it changes each time you play. Easy to learn and doesnt require hours of time. Great family game!
