Greater than one weekLong story here, but our front door has a lever door handle and no deadbolt. My two year old figured this out a few months ago and has been escaping the house and heading toward the street. No more! This lever lock is great because my older child can lift the handle up while the younger one cant reach it, so it works for everyone. I didnt think I would care that the top and bottom pieces swivel separately, but it turns out to be the best part.

Greater than one weekSo I have a nine month old puppy who is out of control. He has recently learned how to open doors and I was about to lose my mind. I bought these and I don’t regret it. The adhesive is so strong that I can’t even get it off the door it gives you the option to leave the door locked or unlocked, which is very convenient. It keeps him out the levers hold the handle and place an order to get the handles to move. You have to press the button and move it at the same time. If you have kids or pets, I definitely recommend.

> 3 daySo if your doors are paneled, you dont get full surface adhesion, but having said that, mine has been on for a couple of weeks not and the adhesion has held up. On our handle, the space between the door and the handle just barely accommodated the lock. The handle actually rubs on the handle. Our dog opens all of the doors, and we bought this lock to keep her out of the pantry. So far, its done the job.

> 3 dayKeeps my kitty out of the bathrooms and office and keeps her in her room when shes on a timeout for misbehaving. Only negative is they peel off the paint on the door when removed.

> 3 dayI bought these so my toddler couldn’t open the door, they stick pretty good and are hard enough that a toddler can’t open them but not hard for an adult.

> 3 dayWe have an Australian Shepherd who is too smart for her own good. She figured out how to open the lever style doorknobs in our house. The one door that was a big problem for us was the door to our garage. If we left the house for a time, she would go looking for us in the garage, leaving the door open to any critters and bugs that wanted to come in, and allowing her to go explore the neighborhood as we opened the garage door while pulling up to the house. We had been putting step stools or laundry drying racks in front of the door to block her from getting to the door handle, but this was annoying to have to remember and blocked the door when we got home. I placed one of these door locks on the outside handle of the garage. Now when we leave, we just activate the lock and she cannot escape. If we are working out in the yard or garage, we only activate the lower lock, because she hasnt yet figured out she can lift the handle to open the door, so this allows the door to still be used by people while keeping her inside. We are very happy with this product for this purpose.
