Greater than one weekI have been using this soap for many, many, years and this soap has a film to it that I cannot describe. I would return the remainder, but I have already diluted it, but I will inquire because I have discontinued use of this product. I dont feel clean when using it and it feels like something has been added to the soap, maybe to stretch it out. As a result, I will never buy this product from Amazon again and will only go directly to the source, Dr. Bronner .

Greater than one weekI really like this soap. I do not use it on my hair as it leaves mine feeling sticky. I use it as a all over body face wash though and I love it. You get out of the shower with an allover tingly feeling and smelling like fresh peppermint. Super great. Downfall of the product is it leaves mad shower soap staining. I will deal with that with the drill attachment cleaning brushes (also found on amazon), because this all natural soap leaves me feeling really clean and refreshed

> 3 dayI have used Dr. Bronners for 50+ years. So refreshing when used as a shower gel. But it can be used for anything.

Greater than one weekThis has to be the best soap Ive ever used! Multi-purpose uses, cleaning fruits & veggies, shaving, wiping windows, cleaning multi surface uses. It is large, needs to be dilouted and goes a long. The labeling on the bottle has a lot written about faith and morals which is very interesting for a soap manufacturer to do that. Would be over and over again!

> 3 dayI was pissed when I bought a smaller $15 bottle and my guest used it all in 3 DAYS! so I bought this huge bottle. I like this product because while its fine to use as is, when the bottle is half empty, I dilute it with %50 water and it works exactly the same and just as good. The peppermint is strong. Great if you have dreadlocks because other shampoos might require a full bottle of another shampoo if dreads are long. This soap has longevity but sensitive enough for all skin types. No its not moisturizing, its more a clean refreshing peppermint soap that clears your nasal and makes you feel refreshed. You need very little of this soap. I suggest using with a loofah sponge

> 3 dayForget about dollars per ounce:!!! This stuff is SO CONCENTRATED it does amazingly well just in ONE DROP! I have been buying and using this stuff since 1988 and love it/keep buying it. Initially, I bought/used it for backpacking so as to not pollute in the backcountry. From an interaction with a Native American (Piute) I was transformed into thinking HOW we live our entire 24/7/365 is what is important; and NOT JUST RESPECTING far away, remote, pristine places, but respecting our homes and yards and, in general; living EVERYDAY LIFE with respect for our home-Earth.

Greater than one weekOkay, I try and review the majority of the items I purchase on Amazon. I think its a very clean way to help the marketplace decide the pros and cons of any particular item. If more people did it we would all benefit. Reviewing soap… Seems ridiculous, ordinarily I would say that it is, however if you dont have the attention span to read along review just know that you will never purchase another soap that leaves you with a cleaner feeling and a more robust peppermint smell both in and out of the shower. The long version is a bit more involved, this stuff is sold like snake oil… Basically a cure for any mass any time. I practically expect Billy Mays to pop up and give me a long-winded pitch about the miracles of this soap. Theres a very interesting back story to the company, this is in a bunch of millennial hippies that think organic peppermint soap and all things vegan will save the world. This companys been around since the 1800s and they sell exactly the same product that they sold that… Likely with some improvements. If youve ever picked up a bottle and tried to read the nonsense ramblings on the bottle they actually have a purpose. You have to go to their website or Google it to find out, suffice to say its really not worth your time because it has nothing to do with the soap. Heres what you need to know, this is about the only commercially available consumer soap which is sold in a concentrated form. Any negative review that you see complaining about how oily it is or that its too strong is because the person didnt bother to take two seconds and read the instruction about how to use it. The company suggests half a tablespoon of soap heavily diluted in the shower. By that equation your grandkids will inherit the bottle. When I was kid my parents sent me to an outdoors camp where we would backpack and canoe etc., this soap in a smaller container is what we used on the trail. Its completely organic so there was no risk of harm to the local wildlife or plants/ecology and it works better than any bar soap Ive ever seen. As an adult I actually still had my bottle from 30 years ago and it was exactly the same potency today as it was then. When I finished off the bottle I purchased 1 gallon and theres a reason, that I want to spend 50+ dollars on soap? Absolutely not… But the 32 ounce containers are far more expensive when you add them up and buying in bulk. I purchased a four dollar pump for a 1 gallon jug right here on Amazon and I created the perfect system for dispensing this soap. Using a loofah or washcloth about an ounce and 1/2 of this stuff will lather up in a way that you would not believe, there is such a thing as too many suds. The smell can be overwhelming when you first start using this… Youll get used to it and grow very fond of the smell. So above when I said that this is sold like snake oil, I wasnt kidding… If you read the jug/bottle youll see that basically they claim this thing can wash or clean anything. Maybe it can, but Im good with tied in the washing machine and cascade in my dishwasher. Im sure there are some Birkenstock wearing hemp wrapped hippies that actually use this stuff for the 2000 different ways it can be used, I use it the shower and wash my hands. The only thing that I can say isnt 100% about the product… If youre prone to dry skin, youll want to use this every other time you shower. This stuff is like the first time you ever took a shower in soft water and felt like there was still soap on you but in reality you are just clean. We get so used to hard water deposits that when you use soft water you get the feeling like theres still slick soap on you. This is exactly the same, youll have to play around with the amount until you reach a dilution ratio that works for you. I unconditionally guarantee (no guarantee being offered :-)), if you try this stuff you will love it. Congratulations… You just made it through the worlds longest soap review

Greater than one weekI will never buy any other soap or cleaning product again! I used this for the first time three days ago and have since been looking for excuses to clean things with it! I am *amazed* at all it cleans, how *well* it cleans, how wonderful it smells, and how it actually improves the condition of my skin after my chores (dishwashing, cleaning countertops, etc.)!?! And not only is it non-toxic and pet-friendly, but it is a natural insecticide! That might sound random until you spill some caramel sauce on your deck, which actually happened to me yesterday. I jumped at the chance to use my new cleaning spray (a small amount of this soap, diluted in water, stored in an old, rinsed 409 spray bottle). I sprayed the puddle of sticky, fake caramel made of mostly corn syrup and it practically dissolved...and no worries about ants having a party in that spot - or my dog licking toxic residue. Awesome, right? :) Or maybe thats just me that gets excited about silly things like that. It happens. :) For you less-excitable, practical folks with better eating habits (heh)...I can confirm that it works great for the following uses, all cleaned with a squirt from the aforementioned spray bottle of water with a few drops of Bronners soap diluted into it: 1. handwashing dishes - gets them squeaky clean! spray a squirt, sponge, and rinse! 2. cooktop/microwave and laminate counters 3. finished wood tables 4. laminate floor in my kitchen. Bonus: spray the floor, put on old socks, skate around, and then throw the socks in the laundry. If the cleaner soaks through your socks, they will feel and smell fresh due to an antibacterial peppermint treatment! Also, the soap on the socks works as a stain pre-treater, remover, and detergent booster so just throw them in your regular laundry and your clothes will get cleaner from it - not dirtier! 5. Polished chrome bathroom fixtures 6. Fantastic Hand Soap - dilute it into a pump dispenser, but try to get a gooseneck spout pump dispenser so the soap goes down into your hand and not out at your shirt. Its thin and I learned this from experience. But hey, again...it helped my laundry and I smelled great. And I used whatever got on the counter to clean it! 7. Cleaning light switches, baseboards, painted stair railings, and painted doors 8. Slate and ceramic tile surfaces 9. Toilets 10. 1/8 cup full-strength as laundry detergent, no fabric softener needed I can also attest that its been wonderful for me and my two daughters who have sensitive, super-dry skin that cracks and peels with any other kind of soap weve purchased. We wash our hands frequently and no amount of lotion seems to be able to combat the irritating effects that the handwashing has on our skin. My kids try to get out of washing their hands whenever possible and I cant really blame them, but I cant let them avoid this necessary hygiene, either. Guess what? Both my girls are looking for excuses to wash their hands now and their skin is almost completely healed, even with the increased handwashing!! They love the smell and the cool tingle it gives your hands for a few seconds afterward. Thank you, thank you to Dr. Bronners company for relieving my kids of their chapped skin and nagging mother. Only one caveat so far - like other reviewers have mentioned, I dont recommend washing your hair with it. We have pretty balanced tap water - neither hard nor soft, and I have fine, long hair that is prone to waves and frizz. I used a few full-strength drops and although the soap worked up its usual fantastic lather, my hair took forever to dry and turned out stringy and flat. I had to wash it again with regular shampoo. It wasnt frizzy, though, so maybe it would be okay for people with really frizzy, thick hair? I dont know. Just my own experience using it as shampoo and it was a definite fail. Dont let that small issue stop you from buying this product, though. Soooo many uses, and so many other things you can quit buying which will save you money and simplify your life. In our case it removed the need to buy toilet bowl cleaner, all-purpose cleaner like 409, furniture polish/cleaner, floor cleaner...and lotion by the case I cant wait to discover all its other uses and recommend this soap without reservation.
