> 3 dayHave been using Dr. Bronzer’s soap, pretty much exclusively to shower with, for more than 50 years now. I buy it by the gallon so as to avoid buying replacements more often. Plus, the gallon bottle has more great snippets of Dr. Bronzer’s wisdom. The good doctor passed away a number of years ago, but his soap, luckily, is still being made. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayI put this into a smaller container and dilute with water for a body wash since I like the scent and the way it lathers up so readily. Its a good bargain for the quantity and I know this container will last me for a long time.

> 3 dayI love this soap. Smells amazing, opens up the pores. Drys my skin out a little bit if I use it everyday so I use it often but not every day. We’ve even tried the citrus version and it’s great too. We refill a smaller store bought bottle to save on waste. I love washing my feet and legs with it. iykyk

> 3 dayPeppermint is my favorite of all scents. My only complain is, too watery. When you add water to dilute it makes it worst. We use it for everything but the bath soap goes through really fast even when we put it in a foam pump.

> 3 dayI will never buy any other soap or cleaning product again! I used this for the first time three days ago and have since been looking for excuses to clean things with it! I am *amazed* at all it cleans, how *well* it cleans, how wonderful it smells, and how it actually improves the condition of my skin after my chores (dishwashing, cleaning countertops, etc.)!?! And not only is it non-toxic and pet-friendly, but it is a natural insecticide! That might sound random until you spill some caramel sauce on your deck, which actually happened to me yesterday. I jumped at the chance to use my new cleaning spray (a small amount of this soap, diluted in water, stored in an old, rinsed 409 spray bottle). I sprayed the puddle of sticky, fake caramel made of mostly corn syrup and it practically dissolved...and no worries about ants having a party in that spot - or my dog licking toxic residue. Awesome, right? :) Or maybe thats just me that gets excited about silly things like that. It happens. :) For you less-excitable, practical folks with better eating habits (heh)...I can confirm that it works great for the following uses, all cleaned with a squirt from the aforementioned spray bottle of water with a few drops of Bronners soap diluted into it: 1. handwashing dishes - gets them squeaky clean! spray a squirt, sponge, and rinse! 2. cooktop/microwave and laminate counters 3. finished wood tables 4. laminate floor in my kitchen. Bonus: spray the floor, put on old socks, skate around, and then throw the socks in the laundry. If the cleaner soaks through your socks, they will feel and smell fresh due to an antibacterial peppermint treatment! Also, the soap on the socks works as a stain pre-treater, remover, and detergent booster so just throw them in your regular laundry and your clothes will get cleaner from it - not dirtier! 5. Polished chrome bathroom fixtures 6. Fantastic Hand Soap - dilute it into a pump dispenser, but try to get a gooseneck spout pump dispenser so the soap goes down into your hand and not out at your shirt. Its thin and I learned this from experience. But hey, again...it helped my laundry and I smelled great. And I used whatever got on the counter to clean it! 7. Cleaning light switches, baseboards, painted stair railings, and painted doors 8. Slate and ceramic tile surfaces 9. Toilets 10. 1/8 cup full-strength as laundry detergent, no fabric softener needed I can also attest that its been wonderful for me and my two daughters who have sensitive, super-dry skin that cracks and peels with any other kind of soap weve purchased. We wash our hands frequently and no amount of lotion seems to be able to combat the irritating effects that the handwashing has on our skin. My kids try to get out of washing their hands whenever possible and I cant really blame them, but I cant let them avoid this necessary hygiene, either. Guess what? Both my girls are looking for excuses to wash their hands now and their skin is almost completely healed, even with the increased handwashing!! They love the smell and the cool tingle it gives your hands for a few seconds afterward. Thank you, thank you to Dr. Bronners company for relieving my kids of their chapped skin and nagging mother. Only one caveat so far - like other reviewers have mentioned, I dont recommend washing your hair with it. We have pretty balanced tap water - neither hard nor soft, and I have fine, long hair that is prone to waves and frizz. I used a few full-strength drops and although the soap worked up its usual fantastic lather, my hair took forever to dry and turned out stringy and flat. I had to wash it again with regular shampoo. It wasnt frizzy, though, so maybe it would be okay for people with really frizzy, thick hair? I dont know. Just my own experience using it as shampoo and it was a definite fail. Dont let that small issue stop you from buying this product, though. Soooo many uses, and so many other things you can quit buying which will save you money and simplify your life. In our case it removed the need to buy toilet bowl cleaner, all-purpose cleaner like 409, furniture polish/cleaner, floor cleaner...and lotion by the case I cant wait to discover all its other uses and recommend this soap without reservation.

> 3 dayI have been using this soap for 10 years and unless someone make a superior product I have no reason to change to another product. Here is an honest review: The problems I have with this soap are 1. It contains palm oil which, if not grown correctly is bad for the ecosystem. As I understand the manufacturer uses sustainable techniques but I cannot say one way or another. 2. The sodium hydroxide will make your stainless steel sink slightly dull. However, I found that adding a drop of dishwashing soap fixes the problem. Those are my two problems, otherwise, for cleaning and bathing this soap is invaluable. The reviews claiming that the soap is watered down are incorrect and probably posted by competitors. The gallon size jug generally lasts a year or so in our house. I distribute the soap in small pump containers at a 1 to 4 ratio (1 part soap, 4 parts water) for bathing and light cleaning. For the bathrooms I leave it at full strength. The peppermint aroma will irritate your eyes if you use too much but at least you are confident that it is strong enough for bathrooms. Given that I promised an honest review, I should mention, for those with sensitive skin the peppermint is too strong for bathing unless it is greatly watered down, probably a two table spoons in 12 oz of water or use a very small amount. Instead, my wife and I exclusively use the unscented or lavender for bathing. At any rate, this soap is not watered down and by the way, it does not contain pesticides-laden ingredients. It is effective and less harsh on the environment than similar products. For those with kids and/or pets, you can mix this soap with 100% peppermint or eucalyptus extract to make a safe but effective insecticide (1 tsp of oil extract, 1 tsp of soap and 8 oz of water). Sure, it is not as effective as raid but it does kill on contact within a minute or two and, unlike raid, it is not a neurotoxin. If you have never used this soap before, start with a small bottle and if your experience is not the same as my experience you have not lost too much money.

> 3 dayThis is the authentic Dr Bronners Castille Soap. I had the misfortune to buy from another seller a 2 pack of 33oz bottles that were watered down drastically to the point they barely sudsed at all and of course no refund offered. I cant say who since Amazon now censors negative reviews. This product is the authentic formula.

> 3 dayI am very satisfied with the product. Although I didnt feel the tingly, peppermint Pattie experience of wanting to strip naked and run the through the woods until the voices stop like some exclaim it to do, I bought it for one reason and its time to put it to the test. I got this soap because of watching an episode of The Walking Dead. They film this movie out in a very hot climate, I forgot where because I just watched about half the movie, just not a Zombie fan, and they said, To keep the bugs off the actors so they could film was they all used PEPPERMINT SOAP, even the cameramen. I will be putting this to the test this year while planting my garden. Update: This soap will keep off the bugs. Standing beside a friend of mine in the heat of the evening, after a good 2 mile run, and he was swatting the bugs out of his face but not me, I used the peppermint soap the night before. Update:2 It was early spring when the bugs where just starting to come out, now in the summer after using this soap, they are absolutely eating me up, I think I was shafted on this one.
