All the birds in my flock like this toy. 4 of them are chewers and so it serves a good purpose for that need. It also provides fun for those chewers but also my for my non-chewers. It holds up well for my medium sized chewers which is good since toys are expensive and so many of them are chewed up and reduced to nothing within 3 or 4 days...making the value be good for me also.

My bird loved the heck out of this toy and munched it into toothpicks. I bought it again and she did the same.

This chew toy for parrots was just the thing to distract my electus parrot from her new habit of plucking out her feathers. She looked awful with about 20% of her feathers gone, due to a hard molt which made her pick at her feathers. Since this toy was made to be destroyed, I didnt expected it to last too long, but after a month, she still has about left of it hanging in her cage. Most of what is left it the basic structure of tough rope and colorful balls made of harder wood than the chewy unpainted wooden disk and strips of straw that are all mostly gone. I think Ill replace them with some thick twine and some strips of raffia.

Thin chain is pretty cheap, so I dont know why they dont use it. I cant speak for everyones birds behavior, but my gray will chomp through that rope on the top and then all the parts will be on the bottom of the cage within an hour. I do keep the old chains from other toys, which is what I use to replace the cheap rope that a lot of toys (like this one) are made with. Then just connect the short chain lengths with quick links (which you can also save to re-use).

I dont remember this particular toy. He destroys them so fast. I also dont remember ordering anything that I was disappointed with, so apparently, it was OK.
