> 3 dayI bought this for my husband as a fathers dat gift. He was really confused when he opened it, and kinda poo-pooed it. I unboxed it, set it up, logged onto FB, (my account of course as he is on NO social media), connected Alexa and Spotify. Now mind you, he didnt think much of Alexa before this, and couldnt understand why I had bought 6 more dots. I had our son, who is serving a mission for our church away from home, call us on messanger. HUBBY GONE WILD! He adores it!!! We conference with kids, (we have 9), and grandkids, (18 of them spread out everywhere). We can literally be there with them and read a book, say prayers, watch a game, etc., with the Portal. He called everyone he knew on it, just to tell them how cool it was and to show them the zoom and pan features it has. He struts around the kitchen while we make dinner, do dishes, eat breakfast and so on. Then I showed him what Alexa can do, and started a playlist for him on Spotify. He has 1010 songs! In 2 weeks! He has demanded a dot be put in his office and the garage, even by the pool. Dont think about it, just buy it! The Plus is worth the extra money. We are saving up to get each of our kids and parents a Plus for Christmas this year. I trust Amazon, so buying refurbished doesnt scare me one bit.

> 3 dayWas not what was advertised. It was supposed to be new and it came in a plastic bag with no power cord or anything else.

> 3 dayBought this large portal for my dad and the smaller size for us and each one of our adult children. We absolutely love them! It is almost like being in the same room and we can all be on the call if we choose. It is very easy to set up and use. You can easily add additional people to the call.

> 3 dayVisually nice on the countertop. Sound is decent. Picture quality is good. Really can’t do too much with it other than use the apps loaded (or go to the web and pull up from there, sometimes). Mine is very glitchy with getting CBS News to come on. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t … just hangs on a blank, dark screen. Glad that when I did decide to give this a try, I bought it when it dropped to $99 briefly back in September. Definitely not worth more than $100, if that. I’d rather go with another Amazon Show 10 (or wait for the new Show that’s due out soon).

> 3 dayI bought it for my grandma, now she can see pictures of the whole family and all the kids can upload photos anytime via Facebook, we can video call her via Facebook or whatsapp any time and it is great for her!! I love it.

> 3 dayDoes require reasonable upload speed in order for picture quality to be good (say 5MB+ or so). If you or the other user has DSL, picture quality will be bad.

19-12-2024It is good for video call. have very good feature of focus as we move. Screen quality is also good. alexa works fine but other integration like youtube etc is not as expected. i mainly use it as photo display and video call. both works fine.

> 3 dayThis is such a great product. Useful as a communication tool to keep in touch with loved ones, but also for playing videos while cooking, great for games free music management. Highly recommend!

> 3 dayMy two sons and their in-laws all have one, so we got one for Christmas. We put it on a shelf in a bookcase facing the big couch in our family room. What a simple, wonderful way to see, hear and visit with family ... especially grandkids ... more often! And so simple to use ... Just touch the image of the person you wish to see and chat with, or just tell Alexa to call so-and-so! Fantastic picture and sound quality. And the camera follows you if you need to move around the toom. Theres more ... you csn load it with family photos. This is truly a must hav ed item! We love it!
