> 3 dayI didnt realize just how thick my whiskers were until I started wet shaving! I went through hell and back trying to find the right blade for my thinking I had average wiskers. Well, I was wrong. My stubble is thick and stubborn. I started with derby but I wish I would have just gone straight here! Granted I most likely would have butchered my face since these are so darn sharp, but regardless, this is where I will be from now on. You must, however, have your technique down because any type of preasure and youre just asking to be either nicked or just simple an irritating and uncomfortable shave. Just let the razor and blade do the work. Great blades though.

09-01-2025Ill never go back to spending $20.00 for 5 disposable razor heads. Shave industry has become a ripoff but not these guys. A lot of bang for your buck.

> 3 dayI am relatively new to the wet shaving practice and like others, I will never go back to double/triple/quadruple blade razers. I used to get lots of razer burn on my neck and with my merkur razer, burns no more! I have bought many different kinds of blades (feather/merkur/shark/platinum) and after my last variety pack of brands, I am officially sticking to the feather blades. They have always given me the closest shave and I find some brands I can only get one decent shave and the 2nd/3rd is terrible before changing the blade. The Feather brand always gets me a close shave and I can get a 2nd and sometimes 3rd close shave out of the same blade with little nicking. I highly recommend! In the beginning I was worried these might be too sharp for somebody starting to wet shave, nonsense! Also, go and buy yourself a fogless shaving mirror to mount in the shower. Then you have unlimited steam and dont have to worry about your face being warm enough. And if you have poor lighting in the shower, jump to one of the brands that have a built in light. I regret not buying one of those, I have decent lighting in the shower but you can never have too much.
