Feather Double Edge Safety Razor Blades 100 Count

> 3 dayI have been wet shaving with double edged safety razors for many years. I have a somewhat thin beard with fine hair (Northern European type). Until now, I have used Dorco and Wilkinson blades, and they did a fine job for me. I got a box of these Feather blades with a new razor I bought, and I was almost afraid to try them after hearing how sharp they are. But they are marvelous, and it really is true they are sharper and stay sharper than the other blades I have tried. Im pleased to report I did not turn myself into shark bait, and these blades give me an excellent, close shave without razor burn and only a very occasional nick when I mishandle the razor. Given my relatively easy to shave beard (sorry Guys, folks with beards like mine have more trouble growing them out than shaving them off, and I feel sympathy for any fellow who needs to shave twice a day because his beard grows that fast), these blades each last a full week for me, if I turn them over after 3 or 4 shaves. Couldnt be happier with them, and Im no longer terrified of trying them. In fact, I think I will be using nothing else from here on out. Buy with confidence, and use with care.

> 3 dayIm a recent convert to safety razors and have been shaving with one for about a month now. Before that I was using a Gillette Fusion like the masses. I have a fairly average beard, not overly coarse or thick. I purchased a Merkur model 180 which I think its a solid and pretty basic safety razor. It came with one sample Merkur blade. My first couple of shaves with that blade werent so great - myself and my face were adapting to the safety razor shave experience. The Merkur blade seemed ok but it didnt seem all that sharp to me and I did cut myself a fair amount of times - probably attributable to my inexperience as well. Then about a week and a half ago I switched the the Feather blades and WOW, quite the difference. Like all of the reviews mention, they are A LOT sharper than other blades. Personally I dont see that to their detriment though and Im thinking their cuts are due to user error. Ive found that I cut myself LESS, I shave quicker, and its a better quality shave overall. I dont see myself ever trying another brand of blades after using these. Now theres definitely a learning curve to safety razors, so if youre new to it like I was Id recommend checking out Youtube as there are some great videos on there that can really help. That being said Im thrilled Ive switched and these Feather blades are a big reason why.

> 3 dayNow were talkin shave. I hesitated to buy because of all the so sharp comments. Im so glad I got them, cause they are the best! They last for multiple shaves-head and face-and yes, you need to pay attention. But what a great shave. Youll want every one to stroke your head or face. Ha! Get them. You will be amazed. You will laugh at whatever you used before.

> 3 dayThese are by far the sharpest & best blades for me. Only drawback is I only get one shave out of each blade.

> 3 dayI have tried a lot of blades over the last year. All of them are cheaper than the feather blades, but for me the feathers shave closer and last longer. I am sure 100 blades will last me well over a year.

> 3 dayI kept trying many different blade brands getting irritation from them all on my neck. Finally found Feather! I stayed away because of the Ninja sharp I kept hearing about. With the correct razor and no pressure, what do ya know, NO CUTS or NICKS and no irritation! Im sold on feather blades. I know blade preference is a very individual choice, but maybe this will help you if you have the same problem I had.

> 3 dayWow! These are some sharp razors. I’ve been using the Personna Double Edge razor’s, which have been good but I usually have to put extra pressure on my first pass. This would still cause some irritation. I have thick/course facial hair, and the Personna’s just aren’t sharp enough. These Hi-stainless feather razors are perfect for cutting through thick facial hair. I really do not have to put any pressure, it just easily glides. I’m shaving with the Merkur 33C and using Van Der Hagen unscented soap. I highly recommend these Hi-stainless feather razors to anyone with thick facial hair; might be too sharp for thinner facial hair (which the Personna’s would be fine).

> 3 dayThe difference with feather is the grind angle. I checked under a scope, and the blade edge is ground with a longer taper. Less grab, but shave carefully!

> 3 dayThe packaged blades developed rust on them, only removed the plastic a couple weeks ago and it must have got wet. But why is stainless rusting? I havent seen this on a blade thats mounted on the razor
