> 3 dayI would have given it 4 stars but the filter came to me damaged. One corner of the filter was crushed. It doesnt change the effectiveness of the filter but the aesthetics. If Im going to pay for something this expensive, I want it perfect.

> 3 dayI have nothing good to say about these filters. I very rarely write reviews but these were so bad I feel it necessary to warn the public. DO NOT BUY THESE. Mine came bent on almost every side, they were also too big to fit neatly in to my air conditioner. I got a 2 pack, after the first one was installed I kept thinking my air conditioner, which is only 1 year old, was either broken or dirty, I kept coughing up dust and kept telling my landlord that I had just changed the filter to an expensive one. I replaced it after 21 days because of the dust, I kept finding black dust all over the apartment. When I installed the 2nd one, I saw the same black dust on both sides of the filter, the carbon is supposed to only be on one side, but it was on both and there were cotton (or whatever the material is) hairs coming out of both sides, looked like it had already been used for a year, totally dirty. I kept it wrapped before using it so it was definitely how the filters came. Too late to return them now but Im going to complain to amazon and the seller, what a rip off. Air conditioner repairman came to look in to my dust problem, it took him exactly 1 minute to figure out what it was, and it was these air filters, he told me never to buy them again. So 32 dollars wasted on the filters and 200 dollars for my landlord to pay the repairman, simply because I bought these. DO NOT BUY THEM.

> 3 dayThese are amazing. In my apartment, the air intake is right by the guest restroom, so the smell of poop spreads throughout the place. Since installing this filter, I havent smelled a thing.

> 3 dayInstalled these on hottest day of year so far and within 2-3 hours AC frozen. Have used several different filters in past and our AC is relatively new, never had this issue before. Problem resolved with turning off AC overnight, vacuuming up water to avoid flood and replacing with standard non-carbon filter I think the method they use of applying the carbon probably at fault, and certainly in my case caused too severe drop off in airflow. As reported by others reviewers I would also worry about the carbon fragments getting sucked into furnace area, but what impact this has I do not know. I am surprised more people have not had this issue, and Im sure multiple factors at work, but major issue was the filter.

Greater than one weekI have a rental property occupied by a heavy smoker for 20 years. When she left, I was frantic to get the stink out. I tried everything: new HVAC, painting all surfaces, new carpet & pad, essential oils, etc, Nothing worked. I was considering replacing the drywall as a final step, but read about this filter and thought I would try it first. Why not? I had tried everything else. Much to my astonishment, the odor was completely gone within 48 hours. I have noticed, however, if I go too long without replacing the filter, the odor returns, Also, the efficiency of the filter to collect dust and allergens is so high that the filter needs to be replaced every 2 months. An expensive routine, but worth it to get rid of the smell.
