Did your garage door all of sudden stop closing at certain times of the day when the sunlight is hitting the sensor? Mine did. Opener worked fine for years. I switched the sensors from right to left and that seemed to fix the problem but only for a couple months. This appears to be a newer design. The aperture on the sensor is much smaller and my garage door closes like it should. I reused the wall mounted brackets just pulled the plastic sensor off the existing bracket, screwed the wire on to the new sensor. Takes a little force but they do pop off.

Simple & Easy, not much else is these days! A quick fix to a non working garage door, smart that genie did not change this essential part over the years! Fit a 25 year old model.

Installed these as a last ditch effort before replacing our whole system. They not only fixed the issue we were having but was INCREDIBLY EASY to install. The hardest part was removing the ones we already had.

I bought these when the receiver on my current Genie died. These were remarkably easy to install. I just removed the old, square models, clipped and stripped the existing wiring that came from the drive unit, attached the wiring to the relevant units, and screwed the new unit brackets into the wall using the old holes that lined up perfectly. Alignment was good from the beginning. The whole thing probably took 10-15 minutes. If you have existing wiring, if its in good shape, and if you have enough length (which isnt much), then you should not need any additional bell wire. I did not need any wiring at all.

Works with my old 1995 IntellCode Genie. Just used the same wiring.
