> 3 dayOverall, I believe at the time of this review that the 12700K chip is the best value for the power you can get. My typical price point is about $350-400 and with 12 cores, it is an awesome upgrade from my 3rd Gen Ivy bridge processor. It was simple to install and worked perfectly with no issues.

22-12-2024I need a new PC mainly to process photos. I was considering AMD Ryzen 7 5800X when I read the benchmark for Intels 12th generation CPUs are better than the 5800X running Adobe software. But it has a bad reputation for hogging power. The attached screen shot shows that power consumption slightly exceed the TDP of 125W during Lightroom batch export. But to my surprise, once the export is finished, power consumption is very low, even less than my AMD 4800H based laptop. Background processing uses the more efficient E-cores.

> 3 daythe cpu seem fine ( no noticeable damage ) but for me that unboxing look very sketchy and low quality for a 600$CAD product

> 3 dayMy last PC CPU was an intel 9700k and while gaming-wise the performance doesnt seem much higher. I obviously get a few more FPS, but it has not been so noticeable. I wouldnt be able to tell the difference on a blind test. However, this CPU is just amazing for every other task and overall I am happy with it.

Greater than one weekThis was bought for a Christmas gift for my son. It didn’t work for his computer. Company won’t send a refund until they receive item (which is fine) but say within 30 days after they get it. Won’t buy from them again
