Purchased this beauty for my brother. Such a fantastic knife... My go to is an Ontario mk3 navy knife, similar so trust me when I say, this is a beautiful knife. Wish I had the sheath this kabar came with.

Its damn exspensive

I needed a good all around utility/survival knife for all the hiking and dry camping in the desert i do. Not only do I use it for packing when hiking, I also use this knife as my main go to knife when cooking in camp and everything. This knife is perfect size and shape and compliments the 1911 that I carry. The best way to describe this knife is to say You cannot fix what is not broken. Plus has a generous cool factor at camp. Especially when slicing SPAM! I previously bought the KBAR BK Companion Knife but was not as impressed as it is too thick for my taste and reminds me of a plow shear.

Just as pictured and was razor sharp right out of the box! You can pay a lot more for a lot less on other knifes. Still have the first one I bought 6 years ago. I have plenty of other knifes that I use for certain things. If I had to take only one knife for whatever this would be my first choice.
