> 3 dayI got to work finally after about two hours. No thanks to support. They never answer the phone and put you on hold forever.

> 3 dayI tried these in my garage which is located about 100 feet from my house and the signal seemed to be ok. They worked and functioned with no issues (slight hiccup with Alexa) but I ended up returning them because I didnt like that the lighted power button is located on the side of the plug. It makes it very hard to tell if the plug is on or off unless you are standing to the side of the outlet and plug. Other than that issue they seemed pretty good.

> 3 dayI use these with Google, and they work flawlessly. I previously had a bunch of the Cync (or C By GE) plugs, and they caused me endless grief with Google. Ive had absolutely zero such problems with these Kasa ones. I have 16 of these things and will get more as the need arises. Plus theyre skinny enough they they dont obstruct multiple outlets.

> 3 dayThe setup for these took literally less than a minute and they havent needed to be re connected once since i got them. the user interface is smooth, intuitive, and easy to understand even for people who are less tech savvy. an added plus i didnt consider in the beginning is how they dont stick out a bunch. They do add about 2 inches to the plug so using these behind a dresser or most furniture is going to be difficult but i can live with it.

> 3 dayI bought these to avoid wasteful and expensive hubs and light bulbs. Im using it for various lamps and integrated with Alexa for voice commands and the Kasa app for cellphone control. Its relatively easy to set up although if you turn off the wifi on your phone its not usable by voice or app but still has side buttons you can use on the plug. Although it sometimes goes offline I found it easy to reset simply by swiping off and on the Kasa app. The design is nice since its rectangular, allowing you to use the other free plug. I love it for turning off and on lamps as I go up and downstairs. It was also great for my Christmas tree lights. Ability to group plugs is a nice feature.

> 3 dayI first bought these years ago because my state has the highest energy rates in the nation and we are acutely aware that appliances turned off are still sucking energy. When my kids were younger I could shut off their computers, tvs, etc when they werent home to use them. My electric bill went down 30% almost immediately. Now I have them all over my house working with Google assistant. As I leave or enter a room, I just tell my google assistant (using routines) and the power connects or disconnects accordingly. I say goodnight and the whole house shuts down with the acceptation the few items I need, like the refrigerator, cell charger etc..

> 3 dayUpdate 1-2-2021: Well it seems I made an error in my original review. If you do change your wifi name or password you can re-connect the device without loosing all your settings. The key is to not select reset device when re-connecting it, which is what i did. Then it will go straight to the wifi setup section without loosing names or schedules. However this isnt mentioned anywhere in the manual (which is just a little card telling you to use the app). I had to get the information from users at the Kasa forum and it took a while to find. So Im uping my rating, but still docking 1 star for this to not be documented in the user guide or app. Original Review: I purchased a TP-Link power strip and it worked so well and was so easy to set up that I purchased another one and this single outlet plug. It to was super easy to set up and works great. So why the low score? Well, if you make any changes to your wifi such as changing the password, SSID name, or changing it to a hidden SSID every single device stops working and must be factory reset and then reinstalled. You end up loosing all the device names, groups, schedules, and scenes. I routinely change my wifi password once a month for security reasons and am now stuck with having to reconfigure 13 outlets every month. This is completely unacceptable. There is currently no way to go to the devices settings and update the password, or change the network name. If you dont regularly change anything this is fine, but for those of us who are security minded it absolutely stinks. Untill such time as they push out a firmware or app update to address this, I wont be getting any more of these. I had planned to get a couple of more power strips and single plugs, but unless this issue is fixed, forget it. Its to much of a hassle to have to redo these every month. I can only assume that the rest of TP-Links products do the same as they all use the same app. How they let this product and others out the door with such a huge flaw is beyond me.

> 3 dayUnfortunately there is something wrong with my smart plug. It is not connecting to my lamp. However, the customer support is great. Hanson Chan was very kind, courteous, very professional, respectable, and very knowledgeable about the product. He always checked in on me if there were very long pauses and was extremely polite. The configuration process took about an hour via phone conversation… But Hanson still made his best effort to check in on me and help provide a replacement.
