This 480GB drive I got provides me with plenty of room to store photos from my digital camera, rip my audio CD collection (around 128 cds so far ripped in mp3 format on highest quality setting) so I can copy it to a usb device and play it in my automobile that lacks a CD drive, and gives me plenty of room to download files from the internet. I also have external storage if this fills up, but for my application on a Slackware64 v14.2 Linux-based laptop, this just plain works. I could have purchased a larger storage media, but I have a desktop configured in a RAID 1 array where I am able to move files that I want to protect.

> 24 hourWorks wonders with my pc, the only thing I would ask for is it came with some screws for the motherboard intallation as its difficult to find them. I had to use an old drive that one spare. But overall pretty decent for the price

> 24 hourNot the fastest in the market but is still VERY fast , ditch your hard drives. there are variances in speed where it spikes down randomly but it might be the file type so wont blame the ssd. But it is solid , durable, fast , Fast, and lasts

> 24 hourWorks well and the price was reasonable. I was looking at new PCs but could not afford a decent one. I installed this as the primary drive in my old PC to run the operating system. Then converted my old hard drive to a secondary drive for storage. My old PC now boots fast, opens programs fast and runs great. This was a much better and cheaper option than a brand new PC. It should add a few more years of use to my old PC.
