> 3 dayColors are MORE vibrant and immersive than 1080p without a doubt, 144hz, few other modes built in. The only thing i will say is the brightness isnt as bright as i would like it to be to be honest (tbh). If you have a dark room or like to use your PC at night then the brightness is plenty. At night ill leave the brightness at like 45-65 cause it gets up there lol

> 3 dayThis monitor is amazing. I did upgrade from a 10 year old Samsung 27 1080p 60hz so Im sure there are many monitors that would have been a decent upgrade. But this LG is just awesome. Maybe I just got lucky but I have ZERO dead/stuck pixels, and it has worked flawlessly since I hooked it up about a week ago. As usual in these types of purchases its easy to read all the horror stories and get too caught up in them. Dont worry and buy with no worries. I was on the fence about it until I saw it listed for $499. So heres the thing: I was checking this daily to see if/when it would be back in stock through Amazon. It was available through other sellers for around $630 -$999??!! for a while. Then one afternoon I checked and it was in stock, and was listed at $499. And I took a moment to decide if I should just do it...and I did. And by the time I pulled up my cart, it was sold out, and was back to $630. So, WAIT UNTIL IT IS $499. Its a fantastic monitor but not enough to get screwed out of $200+. My 1080ti runs everything I play currently at 1440p 144hz like a dream. PubG, the new Modern Warfare, Dying Light, Battlefield 3-1, GTA5, theyre all absolutely amazing at this res and refresh rate. If you have a card to push it, GET IT NOW! (as soon as its $499). EDIT: The only thing I forgot to gripe about is the length of the cables. Theyre waaayyy too short. The display port cable isnt even 6 long so unless youre putting the monitor directly on top of your tower youll probably need a longer one.

> 3 dayWhat I liked: + Great response times: I dont think anyone is going to miss their 144hz TN panel after using this. + Near perfect gamma 2.2 tracking on default gamma 2 mode + Average Delta-E around 1.5: not bad + Amazing color gradient handling when set to 10bit mode + No BLB or dead pixels What I disliked: - Default whitepoint is too cool (measured 7200K) and none of the provided modes gave an actual 6500K. Luckily, with a colorimeter in-hand (Colormunki Display) I was able to calibrate to 6500K with minimal loss of contrast by adjusting the RGB gains. - IPS glow isnt any better than my old IPS monitors. Youd think now that tablet and laptop IPS panels have mostly resolved this issue that monitor panels would do that too. Other notes - Contrast measured at 870:1, a bit low for an IPS panel although I cannot subjectively notice a difference in black levels compared to my other IPS monitor that measured 1150:1. If youre looking for deeper blacks youre better off with a 3000:1 VA. - Gamma mode 2 is the only gamma mode that was calibrated at the factory. Changing the gamma mode to modes 1,3, or 4 resulted in a white point of 6300K, contrast ratio increased to 1060:1, however the gamma tracking is really bad on these modes. - Gamma mode 1 results in an approx gamma of 2.0, mode 3 is approx gamma 2.5, mode 4 is approx gamma 2.3, but again the gamma curves on these modes are messed up and do not conform closely to these numbers so I ended up using gamma mode 2 and just correcting the white point.

19-12-2024I purchased this monitor after returning two Gigabyte M27q monitors (both with dead pixels) and one MSI Optix 274QRF (for bad backlight bleeding). I was planning on buying another MSI Optix 274QRF after trading in the defective one, until someone on line at Microcenter told me they had backlight bleed with the exact same monitor in the exact same spot. The color accuracy on the MSI also left something to be desired and the BGR panel in the Gigabyte monitor looked terrible when plugged into a Mac. Although the M27q and 274QRF are better than this LG monitor in terms of specs, and cost a good bit less, LG’s quality control is worth the lower specs and increased price. It’d be nice if the contract ratio on this monitor was a bit better and the price was a bit lower, but I’m more than happy with the monitor. I only wish I had purchased this first instead of buying and returning three defective monitors from Gigabyte and MSI.

> 3 dayI am not an expert but l enjoy the picture quality for my purpose. I have it connected to my gaming laptop but have not played any games yet. But the games on youtube are nice and realistic. 1080,2k,4k,8k videos are nice and colorful. It fulfills my needs especially for the price l paid.....

> 3 dayThe level of responsiveness that makes it a good fit for casual and competitive gaming. The 1440p resolution offers a crisp and detailed picture with 120hz on my Xbox Series X is just beautiful. Setup is really easy to do, even though I went ahead and got an arm for it, but the stand is great to use. The monitor is great for work also, as it provides 2 HDMI ports and 1 DP port. It also has a USB hub, which i dont use but hey, its there. The price here on Amazon, goes up and down, I missed out when it went as low as $296, so i got it for $346. Still a great purchase.

20-12-2024Its a decent monitor, it does what it says, and its defect free. Its not as nice as my old Shimian QH270, which I bought for a similar price in 2013. That also used an LG produced screen from that time. Unfortunately, that monitor died and I had to replace it at an inopportune time. Right now there are a plethora of options for 1440p+ monitors available, but thats only due to corner cutting in quality control and using lower quality panels to meet the induced demand. This LG panel, like many others available, does boast an impressive refresh rate and responsiveness that puts those old panels to shame. This makes it a good purchase if your focus is on gaming. However, the color has not noticeably improved over the past decade from other IPS monitors. Moreover, the contrast ratio is quite bad, certainly noticeable worse than my old screen, a bad feeling for a product with eight years advantage. Overall, I would recommend this product. The fact of the matter is, there arent a lot of options better than this at the price. LG is a quality manufacturer still, so you can trust youll get a screen in good working order, which is better than you can say for many other options. Comparing with its contemporaries, that makes it a worthy purchase. I just lament that I had to buy something during this trough, but hopefully screens will get better in the future, rather than just easier to find.

> 3 dayNice monitor. Crisp, clean images. But a little too prone to finger smudges. And I feel like I rarely ever touch it!

> 3 dayThis is a review after 1 year of usage. Provided cable is still functional although when i first plugged it i was worried it would break at some point so be gentle with it. The monitor is 1440p 144hz so if you are buying this make sure you have a capable graphics card able to drive it. I personally have an RTX 3070 while it runs fine this card has 8GB of VRAM and it is starting to be affected negatively in some games. VRAM usage is quite high and I would say you need more than 8GB VRAM if you plan on playing latest triple A games and potentially more games in the future. Older games will function fine with this little VRAM. Nano IPS is a great panel from LG. The monitor does get a little warmer when gaming at higher refresh rate but doesnt seem to be negatively affected by it. Brightness is great and the included stand mount. Coming from cheaper monitors I never thought having such flexibility with a decent mount would be that nice. Out of the box the Windows UI display on this monitor is rather small personally it was too small for my liking so i increased the scale to 150% it enlarged everything on the screen. I did have trouble with doing this early stages of windows 11 and to be specific GTA V wasnt handling the the scaling that well but now its completely fixed. If you run into issues with specific case scenario you can easily revert back to the default scaling which is 100% Nothing wrong with it overall but if you are buying for an HDR experience turn away from this model. The implementation of this model is better never touched.
