I bought this to control my pond pump. The smart switch is about 50 away from my access point that hangs in the garage. The switch sits next to other smart devices. My access point is a Luxul enterprise model so I know the signal is strong and my other devices nearby all work without issues. The unit appears to be a very well-built device with a great wet location switch but I can never control it through the app - even though the app tells me that the device is switching on and off. Maybe I have a bad unit : (

Lutron is synonymous for reliability. This is rock solid. Weather proofing is good and it integrates seamlessly with HomeKit. You can run automations to turn devices on and off, set schedules, etc. A bit pricey but that is the only drawback. Would definitely recommend.

Set up in less than 3 minutes. Replaced an outdated mechanical timer. Never need to adjust times again. Great product.

This works great for our Christmas lights to come on and off - and we have it linked to our phone so it adds to the joy of the ultimate control without being home - and switching it on and off!

Like most Caseta stuff, this is priced at the higher end of its market, but it is a nicely put together package, that seems like itd take a decent soaking. The line lump style is great since it separates the outlets from the device, offering more layout flexibility when attached to walls, and an option for water sealing the couplings, which is not the case with the standard sockets-at-the-bottom devices. I cant speak to its range, I happen to have a caseta lamp dimmer on the opposite side of the wall, so mine is only a few feet away from the mesh.

This is the FIRST outdoor Wi-Fi smart switch that has not failed. Other brands at 20% of the price are unreliable. Strongly recommend this, especially if losing connection is a serious problem. Worth every penny.
