Great suction and is well built, but the power cord could be longer.

This was a replacement for an old Sears vacuum. We wanted something that didnt weigh much and is capable of doing a good job. Compared to others on the market this fit that bill. Most of Miele stuff is expensive, this item was not. Probably weighs half of what the sears model does so its easy to pull it or carry around and use on stairs. The hose and attachments click together or come apart easily. Ceiling vents are easy to reach even if youre not a tall person. The hose is lightweight but very strong. The suction power is adjustable and on high it is very powerful. The cord retraction is super. The on/off switch is on the canister. Because of its smaller size the attachments couldnt be stored inside the canister. Instead the attachments mount on a rack which is attached to the hose near the base which at first I thought was weird, but it turns out that is actually convenient. The rug attachment is simple and runs on suction power from the vacuum as opposed to having its own motor. It is superb on carpet. The Miele bags are thick, adequate size and come with replacement filters should you need them. This vacuum is a testament to German engineering.

I just got this and Im not sure I like it. It works great on hard floors, but on carpet it is very difficult to push. The cleaning power is very good, but you do get a workout when pushing it back and forth. Im 72, I need something easier to push.

    Greater than one week

Why is it that if you want a good vacuum in America, you have to buy one made by a foreign company? I dont know (I do know), but I do know that Miele is the way to go for vacuums regardless of where you live. The suction power is incredible and, even without the power head attachment, really deep cleans carpets. I just wish Id been able to afford this one first, instead of all of the useless $100 and $200 vacuums weve lost along the way. Perfect for pet hair - we have a border collie and a long haired cat, and plenty of short-haired pets. The only thing thats come close to the ability to get pet hair out of the carpet like this thing, is carpet scrubbing steam cleaners - and who wants to break that out each week? Perfect for stairs - our stairs have been a wreck for ages, because our uprights could never provide anything close to a good cleaning solution for stairs. The suction power, long hose, secure attachment locks, and especially the low overall weight of this unit make cleaning stairs easy.

I had my own housekeeping business for 10 years and used many different types of vacuums my clients owned (Oreck, Dyson etc). My absolute favorite hands down was the Miele. I always swore Id get one myself one day. Well, 12 years later I finally broke down and got one. :) Ive never spent this much on a vacuum but I knew it would be worth it!!! Ive been using it for 2 weeks now and let me say....I WISH I had bought one way sooner! I feel my carpets and furniture are actually getting clean now! Buying this I knew it would work for my needs. Our small home is mainly tile with low-pile carpet in 2 bedrooms plus 2 larger rugs. I have no issues with anything except I really wish the cord was a little longer. **Id gone back and forth between the Miele Pure Suction (cheaper) and this one. Im super happy I paid the extra for this as it comes with the 2 brush heads instead of 1.

There’s nothing I dislike about this vacuum. I have always had a canister vacuum. When mine broke, I really wanted a cordless vacuum but none of them had the power I wanted. I also found emptying the cup nasty. This vacuum is very light and a breeze to pull along. The handle is very light and easy on my wrist. I pull this vacuum out every day, plug it in and get a fabulously clean floor, with not much hassle at all, because it is very lightweight. Before buying this vacuum I bought a top of the line cordless, with nothing but headaches. I’ll keep my tradition of a canister, knowing my home is really clean. I don’t even mind using this vacuum on my stairs because it’s so light. I call it my blue buddy. I’m very happy with this vacuum, best vacuum I’ve ever owned.

To you reading the reviews - it is ESSENTIAL to read each models description to see which vacuum is best for you. I almost bought the least expensive model until I realized it is wrong for my floors. This model (C1 Turbo Team) cleans hardwood, throw rugs, and wall to wall carpet easily. The suction power is amazing! It is so easy to swap out the tools to go from stairs, to hardwood, to throw rugs. The retractable cord is a nice touch. It is lightweight - my 80 yo mother handles it with ease. It is easy to carry up the stairs to do the bedrooms and the top steps. It is worth every penny!

This vacuum has strong suction and is quiet and light. The hardwood attachment is fairly wide and does a good job on open areas. Its almost too wide for stairs if you are working your way down, but okay if moving up. The turbo carpet cleaner does a decent job, but if you turn the suction all the way up it will dig in making it hard to move back and forth across the carpet. The cord is shorter than what Im used to so I have to unplug it more often. Overall, Im satisfied with this vacuum and plan to keep it since most of my floors are hard wood. If I had a house full of carpet, Id get something with a better carpet cleaner.

Purchased because of Miele reputation and Id just installed expensive carpet. Carpet company said my Dyson would be too rough on the carpet. This is just my impression, someone else may feel different. It felt flimsy and it was much louder than Id anticipated. Learned later it didnt have the sound insulation. This machine has a LOT of suction. Seemed like the turbo brush was too rough on the carpet. Lowered the suction, still thought so. Bottom line it didnt seems to be harming the carpet. The bottom of the turbo brush is very smooth and no hard edges. I just expected more of a luxury feel...and this machine didnt have that. Although, it could suck the paint off a wall.

Price: 4/5 Build Quality: 4/5 Suction: 4/5 Ease of Use: 4/5 Emptying Can: 4/5 Cost of Use: 3/5 Overall this product is very good. I have been using Dyson non-corded vacuums for the last 10 years but decided to go with a corded bag vacuum. I got tired of switching out the batteries for the Dyson vacuums as it has become very costly (and also bad for the environment). I wanted something that would keep it suction power longer. This is my first bag vacuum, but I am quite surprised at how long each bag lasts if you have a medium sized condo. I dont care too much for the color, but other than that, I am pleased overall with the product. It has all of the attachments you need to clean around your home. The only downside that this vacuum has versus a non-corded vacuum is that it takes more time to set up. However, once you get used to it, it wont be a problem. I would highly recommend.
