So far, This light is fab! Firstly,you do not need a timer for this to work as long as you can turn off at the plug,youre good. The light is sturdy and bright. Chip,My kakariki immediately cheered up when i put this in his cage after having a sulky 24hrs without a light. Previously had an Acadia mini light for 12 months before it stopped working. This feels so much more secure than the Acadia,bearing in mind these lights are not cheap.{excuse the pun!} Ive never left a review before,thats how impressed I am. Will update if things change.

Very little direct sun in room where Birdie lives so the light has been a plus. In spite of being given quite a bit of freedom, she still chooses to hang out in her cage. Very easy to install on top of the cage. She has shown no interest in chewing, nothing is in her reach inside of cage. Very pleased with the purchase.

I really like this product, but more important my parrot seams to really like this product more than me. I didn’t realize how dark his area was, until I installed this light. It was almost borderline cruel how dark his area was. I got a good feeling he will be less grumpy, and hopefully this cuts down on his bitieness. I used plastic ties to install the light. I have a Myers, and so far he doesn’t even touch this light.

It’s nice and bright my bird loves it a lot. Helps them see the cage better especially if you have perch’s or toys around the cage.

Exactly as pictured... the protected cord is VERY well done and ensures safety for the bird. My African Grey seems to be getting better healthier and her feathers are filling in after just a few weeks of use.

I plugged this light into a timer with a in line remote dimmer and it works great I can make it it really dim or really bright or turn it on or off with the remote.

So far, so good! Ive had it a couple weeks and I dont really see a difference in my birds, but I do relax a lot more about the windows theyre near and the lighting they get. *Do yourself a favor.... Read all the fine print.... Order a lamp timer at the same time as you order this one. It does NOT have a switch on it. The instructions admit that the plug is not good enough quality to continually plug in and unplug every day. For that price, Id think they could add a switch or AT LEAST get a better quality plug. Why would you not add a switch option?? The cord also comes in two parts... The Metal covered part plugs into a black cord part. Thats not very strong either... It pulled itself a few times and unplugged itself. So I had to duct tape that connection so it would stay on. I still think its worth it, so far, to know Im giving my birds good light. I just hope it holds up. Im not really sure about its quality at this point.

Very easy to install and brightens up my cockatiels cage really nicely. I installed on the inside of the cage because she has a prevue playtop cage. She is a lot more chatty and whistles a lot when the light is on. I purchased a tlink kasa socket to control the light with. Allows you to use as a timer or just a light switch from anywhere you have wifi.
