NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Plus Switch (GS308E) - Desktop or Wall Mount, Home Network Hub, Office Ethernet Splitter, Silent Operation, Black

I am not a real TECH SAVVY person and really just wanted a switch.... the APP seems to show things but all the information that it seems like it should provide doesnt show up... This works however to speed up the bottlenecked ethernet cables from the MESH router plus allows for faster wired products to be attached.

I ordered this switch when I upgraded to the eeos router system. The eeos only has one ethernet port and I have to older systems and a Laser printer that are not Wifi. I was not disappointed. The setup was easy and everything worked as advertised. I am a happy camper.

What can I say - it does its job and is super quick/simple to setup and use. I say setup, but since its unmanaged, setup really only refers to installation in a location and hooking up ethernet cables. I have two of these units in my system to help wire up various rooms/items in the house. One is located immediately beside the main router, with the 2nd unit being located in the living room to hardwire the main entertainment items to remove the need to rely on wireless connection. Would, and have, purchase again! Ive recommended this unit to several people as well.

My WiFis router only had one port for one computer. I needed more. So I got this and Im glad I did. Easy to setup and use. A must for any type of network.

I needed this switch to get more ethernet ports in an open room space. I went with Netgear because of Brand recognition and was not disappointed, Easy to setup, true Plug and play, strong metal build. Got speed as advertised, still going strong after almost two years of use.

Brand name, quality, solid built. This has a lightweight aluminum frame. I like that much better than the cheaper plastic brands. It’s very plug and play, no issues with any of my network devices. Cons: I have not been able to access it with the netgear management tool software. They have a switch locate app that is not finding either of my netgear switches. Not that big a deal if your router controls all of your network and protocols.

This switch works well to wire my Google Mesh Wifi routers to avoid broadcast storms.
