I have a Dell EMC server, and I needed the full 4Gb/sec transfer rate. I also needed a stable desktop connection for livestreaming, and it did the job perfectly.

This NETGEAR switch is fantastic, bought our new house and our smart panel was empty, had to totally redo the panel. The house had the master bedroom, den, pocket office, kitchen, and main great room pre-wired so I plugged them all into the switch, its fast, looks great in our smart panel, and I wanted expand ability so in time I could have four other rooms wired up. NETGEAR makes great stuff and you cant go wrong picking up this switch.

Good solid design. Stays cool. I like that it has an on/off switch. Its not a wifi range extender or wifi router. Im not sure why I had to answer a question about wifi to do this review. It is a small wired only gigabit ethernet switch. Its great for situations where you want to run multiple ethernet connections off of one wall plate connection. It seems to work great with me and my daughters gaming desktops.
