The 8 port switch is good and does what I needed. easy plug n play. You dont need to use the interface. but it is a great way to set up VLANS if you need them

Outstanding item - low cost, NO noise at all, super easy install. Pulled out old Netgear 100MB switch - put in new one. All GB devices autodetected - took less then 5 minutes for total swap. Local server throughput jumped from ~12MB to ~60MB with no changes at all. HUGH improvement !! Highly Recommend !!!

I use a switch to connect three video editing PCs. The data rates on the files I use range from 50mbps to 450mbps - well below gigabit 1000mbps.

I replaced my old Prosafe netgear switch with this 1GBs switch. I got the faster speed that I am looking for. Since I do not need additional network security, this new 8-port switch is perfect. I should have bought in sooner.
