> 3 dayGreat switch for a home network! Enough ports for for a home or a small business. Integrated slots on the back to mount to a wall and small enough to hide.

> 3 dayBought this as my office switch for the various devices needing connectivity to the network closet. A bit overkill for this purpose as I really didnt need this many ports, but it appears to be very well built with a sturdy metal case that should dissipate heat nicely. Bought on sale and it was an excellent value for the quality of construction and performance.

> 3 dayEasy to use, just plug and play. But when one of the ports died after about 7 months, I called Netgear as this has a year warranty. Yes they will replace it, BUT I have to send it to them at my expense, and then they send a new one. So, meanwhile my wired network would be disconnected for the several weeks this takes to play out. OR, for $20 they will send me a new one first, and then they pay for the return shipping of the old one I guess. Cool, except the switch costs roughly $20. So money-wise I would be the same just buying a new one myself. I can understand Netgear not wanting to get ripped off by sending me a new one first, and providing a return shipping label prepaid for me to send the old one back, only to have me not send the old one. Perhaps they could set it up so they bill me if they dont get the old one back in like 2 or 3 weeks? Would make more sense to me, as far as them honoring the year warranty. Disappointing they approach it how they are. Netgear is my usual go-to, but Ill have to look at a few of the other tech brands as well, and see how they are reviewed these days.
