Noctua NF-A8 ULN, Ultra Quiet Silent Fan, 3-Pin (80mm, Brown)

I used this fan in my Tripp Lite rack mount UPS, since the fan in the unit runs 24x7. It did make the unit quieter, but not by much of a margin. Im thinking about doing something more complicated and measuring the heat on components directly, then enabling the fan until they cool down.

Noctua are the best fans when it comes to moving a quantity of air silently. I used this model to replace a whiner of a fan, to my great relief.

This was the solution I was seeking.

I have a rack mounted PC with 7 120mm fans and 2 80mm fans I I can not barley tell my PC is on after the upgrade!!!!

Allow me to quote myself using my review for the device this fan was used in, because it speaks for itself:

This package is supposed to come with an extension cable and a power supply adapter . Which I needed for a Dell . And was a big deciding factor in this purchase. As far as the fan itself i couldnt tell you , I didnt come with the cables and I have not yet soldered it on! Im pissed ! One star
