Noctua NF-A9x14 HS-PWM chromax.Black.swap, Premium Quiet Slim Fan, 4-Pin (92x14mm, Black)

Bought this to replace my brown Noctua nhl9a low profile cooler. I swapped PC cases from a non visible PC components nod 202 to an nzxt h210i. I wanted to stick with the red and black theme of my mother board so I went with the black and red. Works fine so far only ran idle test so far so good also quite and easy to remove 4 screws remove brown fan and place black fan on with your choice of color edges and 4 screws.

I didnt always pay -that- much attention to what fans I used. Most of the time, Id rescue them out of retired builds and cases, and recycle them into new systems as a sort of tribute to the predecessor. When I set out to build my Skyreach PC, which was my console-killer wet dream, I knew each part going in needed to be the best possible in its class. I initially bought the NH-L9i in Chromax Black and was so impressed by it, I decided to go full Noctua in this system. I replaced the GPU fans (noisy, kinda whiny and frankly too tall to fit) with these fans, and its been great.

I replaced the ugly orange and red fan that came in a Thermalright heat sink with this. This is thinner at 14 mm and more powerful and quiet too. A great buy for a small form factor system.

Just got mine, and it has normal a9x14 in it, not the chromax one.

I was unable to find thin fans like this one from other vendors, but this still exceeds my expectations. Noctua seems to always make great products that are quiet and effective.

Excellent slim 90mm fan. Only annoying thing is the short cable, you have to use the included extender.

Get what you pay for here...high quality and long-lasting and very quiet. A+++++

Very unusually the standard brown noctua fan that came with the heatsink for my new i5 seemed to die. I ordered this and received it the next day as per my shipping choice and was able to easily install it. It also comes with a fan cable that is much longer than the original which turned out to be nice.

I used this to replace my Scythe fan on the Shuriken 2. I heard some people say that it would perform worse as it has two less blades, but I am getting lower noise and a 2-3 degree temperature reduction on the Ryzen 5 5600X. High quality fan from Noctua as usual.
