If you plan on using this in a SSF case and having it on your desktop, this isnt it. Starting at around 1200 RPM this thing starts to whine like crazy. Best Ive found is to set it at around 1000 RPM and leave it. I have it currently mounted up as exhaust in a NCASE M1. Still a great little fan but I will be using it for a different application.

I paired this with the cryorig C7 copper and put the fan label-down and my temps dropped 12C. It never goes above 85C now when gaming. Its also much quieter than the C7 fan.

I added this to my Meslicious PC build to have some consistent airflow over my MOBO since I am running an AIO with no compatibility for other case fans.

I didnt always pay -that- much attention to what fans I used. Most of the time, Id rescue them out of retired builds and cases, and recycle them into new systems as a sort of tribute to the predecessor. When I set out to build my Skyreach PC, which was my console-killer wet dream, I knew each part going in needed to be the best possible in its class. I initially bought the NH-L9i in Chromax Black and was so impressed by it, I decided to go full Noctua in this system. I replaced the GPU fans (noisy, kinda whiny and frankly too tall to fit) with these fans, and its been great.

These slim bad bois are ziptied straight on top my GPU and two of them do the job.

I got these to use in my NCASE M1. I have the Noctua NH-U9S air cooler and was going to put this fan on the back part of the case to serve as a rear intake to feed in fresh air to the cooler. I was excited to use these since I wanted to have a black fan and I heard these were silent... Theyre not silent at all.

This is the first Noctua fan that Ive been disappointed with. The quality is great, the air throughput that you can get is fantastic, but it has this horrible noise that makes it unbearable to listen to when its 4 feet from your ear. This was in an NR200 ITX case and used as a rear intake, so perhaps having it in a case that small changed the noise profile...but you wouldnt be buying a fan of this size if you werent going to put it in a small case, regardless.

Best fans out there. Quiet, powerful, well-priced. Dont waste your time trying to save a couple of bucks with inferior fans.

I buy Nocuta fans because theyre efficient and quiet. These are even called Quiet fans, but they sound like a helicopter spinning up, Im so confused. I used the anti-vibration pads they come with and still it sounds like a plane taking off. I set the fan curve to 10% and I can still very much hear them. My computer was completely silent before. I dunno if these are just defective, but its two separate fans that I bought, would be a big coincidence if they were both defective.
