Noctua NH-U12S chromax.Black, 120mm Single-Tower CPU Cooler (Black)

Installed to cool my Intel Core i9-9900K. Recent gaming temps have approached 80C, as reported by CoreTemp v1.16 (as of 01 September 2020). The cooler is quiet, indeed, but Id rather have better cooling at audible fan speeds than have marginal cooling at silence. I used Noctuas cooling / thermal gel, too. I trusted Noctua. Never again. I will look for Zalman solutions soon.

I just got my 2nd one for another build. Best coolers on the market. Water cooling is overrated. I take one of these any day over water cooling. Its just works. Simple to install. Amazing build quality. Worth the extra money over the competition. Altho bequiet brand coolers coming in a close 2nd

Jutilisais anciennement un cooler master ML120R (watercooling) pour mon ryzen 5 3600x, au bout de même pas 2 ans il faisait un bruit monstre comme si un cailloux claquait dans tous les sens dans le ventilo, le Noctua lui, est complètement silencieux, si bien quon se demande si il tourne bien!!

I went from a pretty LARGE desktop pc with a full custom water loop and it was a pain to drag around to lan parties. Switching down to a smaller form factor I found people stating this was in close proximity to the bequiet dark rock temps are great and sound is minimal.

Dont make the derp move as me and just yank off your old cooler if youre replacing it, or let it run hot for a bit so you dont unguchunga rip off the cpu from its socket. ;D

I recently bought a new Ryzen cpu and need a better cooler than the spire that came with, this was my choice and I definitely do not regret it. The fan is super quiet even while my pc is under load, the instal was very easy and it fits well even in my micro tax case. My temperatures are really great under load with a slight over clock, hovering around the 60 while under near max load. If you are getting a step up from the spire I highly recommend this cooler!

I was using the stock cpu cooler for my i7-9700. It frequently got overheating, over 100C/212F, even under light load. After I use this one, the temperature is hardly exceed 80C/176F for heavy load.

Tbh, I cant dislike this cooler, but I will say I wish I knew more about computers than I did when I put my brothers together. The temps are higher than my taste prefers with an r5 3600, but not horrible. Chiplets, am I right?

Noctua does it again--now in black and still fantastically reliable. It feels right. it looks good, it cools well.
