Greater than one weekI had an old Optoma HD 20 and I underestimated the technological improvements since then. The brights are brighter and the darks are darker. Even my non descriminating family noticed the clarity without my prompting. I watch on a 95 inch screen with controllable ambient light. Vivid mode is great for all lighting situations but I prefer Cinema with the lights out, as seen in my pics. Remote is fine with lots of options. I spent 10k on my first hd projector and while I’m no videophile, I highly recommend this projector. Everyone who has seen it is shocked at the quality. I know you can spend way more for “far better” projectors, but this is unbelievable quality for the money. A great $600 investment.

19-12-2024Great quality, that’s my first screen projector so I don’t know if it’s pricey or not but the quality and ease of use is magnificent.

> 3 dayReturning for refund. Broke after 15 min of use. I inspected the bulb and that was not the issue. This is not my first projector. Room needs to be dark for good view of picture. With just a little light, you cannot see anything this thing projects. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. $700 budget? Go get something else.

> 3 dayThe picture is great. Excellent for watching sports. The only thing is when you first start it up, you get an awful rattling noise that lasts about 60 seconds. Then it goes away and no more noise. Ive had it for about 2 months and no problem.

> 3 dayWe set this up in a very bright church auditorium and it was bright enough to see plainly. When we dimmed the front lights the picture was very detailed. I used powered fiber optic cables to go the 50 needed to the projector.

> 3 dayI never could get the audio to work. I called Optoma tech support and the guy told me to send it back. It is defective. I was so disappointed. Had wanted this projector for a year. Finally convinced my husband to let me order it and it doesn’t work. I could cry.

> 3 daySo far so good. I first bought the $200 projector and that was a bust! Had it for a couple days and it stop working. It was a tough decision between the Epson and Optoma. Picture quality and speed for gaming it’s definitely great for your buck! I’ll do a follow up review after 90 days and let you know how things are.

> 3 dayAt 600 bucks you can’t go wrong with this sure you can pay 2000 and 3000 but I don’t think it’s worth it. I bought $120 projector and it was really good. I was surprised I got this one and it has a few more shells and whistles, but as far as the picture quality, it probably went from 82% to 95%. I bet if I got a projector that was $3000 it probably be another 5% better but after a few days, I’m not sure I would really notice that much. So far this is held up if it breaks down and starts getting crappy. I’ll do a new review I’m really happy this really has helped increase our entertainment pleasure.
