Its fantastic and quiet. Probably the most worthwhile upgrade I have done to my media room.

As few other reviewers pointed out - picture is grainy, dim around the corners, sharpness and keystone controls are useless, cheap packaging, flimsy plastic case that does not inspire confidence, no mounting holes for ceiling mount, remote control layout is unintuitive - good luck adjusting anything with lights off. Bought based on glowing reviews - should have done more research.

Worked great for about 500 lamp hours/ 6 months, until the lamp broke. Its out of the return period, bulb warranty, and Optoma finds any reason not to honor their 1 year warranty. Its supposed to last about 3000 lamp hours, incase youre wondering.

I bought it because of the 15,000 hour life span but I guess I should have bought another one. Its mainly hooked up to my Xbox One for gaming and movies which it does put out a nice crisp bright picture but has issues staying connected to the input and flickers every now and then. If Im on the main dashboard of the Xbox and switch from Youtube to Hulu or Prime video it goes to a blue screen and searches for signal/input. But the worst part is the lamp only lasted 459 hours and had to search for a replacement which NOBODY had not even the manufacturer which said it would be 2 months till they had any in stock.

The first time the projector was turned on it produced these vertical lines internally. It could be affected by the housing. I noticed when I was pushing the buttons on the top surface to adjust the screen the lines would start to disappear when pressing a button. Pressing down the top surface made the lines go away, something’s the lines would stay away for an extended period of time. The lines always returned. Additionally the projector lens seemed to slide out of focus, ever so slightly, to where the picture was just out of focus and slightly blurry. I had to adjust focus about three times during the length of the very first movie we tried using it on. I was excited about the product but my nervousness with projectors in general was only validated using such an expensive one and having similar issues to a cheaper one.

This projector is mostly quiet and looks good but do not be fooled by the 15,000 hr lamp life claim as I was. A year and 1 month after purchase the lamp crapped out. And guess what. The manufacturer only waranties the lamp for 90 days. I ran a little math and if it had been on for a whole year that would have still came under 9,000 hrs... so they might as well say it lasts a gigilion hrs if they dont have to back that up with a warranty right. I thought ahead knwoing bulbs are a projectors weak point and bought 3 years of extended warranty through Asurion. Short story. Dont waste your money on it. Long storry after jumping through hoops for them for about 5 hrs my persistance paid off and they emailed me a lable to send my projector out to get repaired. A week and 3 days later i received my projector back cleaned and with a note that stated customer must replace bulb. Guess what. They dont cover bulbs. Isnt that great. Learn from my mistake. Know that, while the picture quality is good, you are buying from a company that wont stand behind their grandious claims. do yourself a favor and dont shell out the extra 50 some odd dollars for a 3 yr cleaning contract that takes years of your life due to the stress of just trying to get your warranty honored. IMHO Optoma and Asurion both suck and are permanently loosing a customer and gaining bad publicity.

Picture is nothing short of astounding. I have the projector mounted in a bright living room and can easily watch during the day with the curtains drawn. I would love to give this five stars..but I cant because every once in a while, it does some kind of thing where the power indicator flashes purple and the power button on the remote is ineffective. Never had this issue with my old HD 27. Anyhow, at these times, I have to climb up on the couch, pull out the power plug and plug it back in in order for it to work. This sucks even more because it often moves the mount so I have to refit the picture to my screen. Wish I knew a fix; but for now, Ill just expect to have to go through this nonsense once or twice a week. Otherwise, its an awesome projector!

Great picture quality. I am projecting it on a wall that is not even white color. Able to get 150 inch image from about 13 feet

For the price it is the best one, 4k HDR input . It does take a lot of calibration to have best picture. Only annoying thing . Is auto color mode does not work. When in HDR you need to manually change colors space to 16-235. 0-255 is for non HDR content . Nice throw for smaller rooms . Around 9 feet for 120” screen

Dont buy Optoma Products. Bad components. Main board went out every 9 months with very little use of the product. First time covered by warranty but then costs as much as projector after first time.
