> 3 day***** October 2020 (10 month update) ****** This product is still working great. I have not noticed it missing any commands or suffering any degradation. I have mine completely exposed to the elements, plugged into an outdoor outlet and mounted on a fence. It appears as new as the day it was installed. I continue to be more than satisfied given that this provides two outlets and ZWave at a great price. ****** February 2020 ***** My original review is below. The vendor (EvaLogik) did update the device handler for this product and it now works as expected. I am able to control the two outlets as separate items inside the SmartThings application. I appreciate that they provided quick and accurate responses to my questions and followed through with the promised update. I am using this to turn on a set of outdoor lights and an outdoor fountain on different schedules and when triggered from a motion detector. I wanted two outlets so I can turn the lights on after dark but turn the fountain on at all times of day. I am happy with the way this now working. I will update the review with additional info as the product ages. ****** Original Review ****** Im a SmartThings user and prefer to add Z-Wave devices to my network instead of the more common WiFi only devices. The EVA-LOGIK two outlet, outdoor plug looked like a great alternative to the GE Z-Wave single outlet device (https://www.amazon.com/GE-Weather-Resistant-Required-Works-SmartThings-14284/dp/B06W9NWFM3) that I also own. Unfortunately I cannot get more than one outlet to show up in SmartThings when I install the device. I have added and removed the device multiple times without luck. SmartThings does list two EVA LOGIK device handlers (one for Single Outlet and one for Dual Outlet) but installing either results in just a single outlet being controllable. I will say that packaging, build quality and installation were all great. I have no complaints about the product other than the fact that it doesnt do the one thing that makes it special. I am able to control a single outlet and the response time is fast. The range seems to be about average for Z-Wave which works for me. I did contact the seller and they responded that they will be able to solve this problem in the next couple weeks. I will update my review if they come through with a fix. For now I cannot recommend this product.

> 3 dayI bought this as I was looking for a solution for outdoor lighting in my garden. I decided to use this product with an outdoor power strip to power a group of LED lights. I connected this with my SmartThings hub without incident, and it has remained on the network reliably ever since. Control through both SmartThings and Alexa (by way of SmartThings) is flawless. It hasnt been through the worst rain Seattle has to offer yet, but so far so good. I bought the Z-wave solution because the range should be superior to WiFi. I havent tested this beyond 10 or so meters yet, but so far, so good.

> 3 dayI have Smartthings and close to 40 z-wave/zigbee devices. These were my favorites. They withstood harsh conditions in a security situation BUT, after a year and a half, I needed to change my network settings (never do that if you can avoid it) and spent a weekend excluding, removing, and reinstalling them all. I was able to do all them, except my 2 Eva Logiks. Factory resetting doesnt work like in the instructions, youtubes are in Chinese and product support is minimal. If they are even able to be reset, until I can get some product support, they are just expensive paper weights.

> 3 dayI bought this to automate my outside Halloween display. SmartThings detected it right away and I was able to incorporate it into my Z-Wave network with no additional software or handlers. It works great.

> 3 dayThese are great on/off relays. One needs several units to form a mesh network to get good range. I have purchased several more now. They come also as a dual controlled outlet unit.

> 3 daySeems to setup easy enough with Home Assistant. Im using these for outside christmas lights and the first time i set it up, seemed to turn on the lights at sunset as expected. I wake up the next morning and one outlet is on and the other is off instead of both being off. Its showing up as a dead node in home assistant. I unplug and plug back in and it seems to work. Same issue the next morning. Except now i cant fix it with unplugging and plugging back in. Looks like from previous reviews others have had similar issues. Will be returning and looking for another alternative since this is unreliable

> 3 dayI have a lot of z-wave devices on SmartThings as a reference and this device has the worst lag and z-wave reception range out of everything Ive seen! Whats more is that this is a powered device so there is no excuse for this poor z-wave reception quality. I have a battery powered Ecolink water leak sensor right beside it which can easily communicate directly to the hub with no lag but I had to install an outdoor z-wave repeater just for this switch. Even with the z-wave repeater, the lag between the on/off switching is incredibly long and I wouldnt use it for anything but occasional switching. You have to wait sometimes for 20-30 seconds for the device to respond to the switch request. The plug should have been 90 degrees instead of straight. The weight of the device tends to unplug it from the outlet. There is some really poor engineering in here. Otherwise yes it does work and it is weatherproof to a certain extent.
